Carillon Beach Sports Grill

Carillon is an adorable little community just east of Laguna Beach. When you turn in you think you're just entering a shopping center but you're actually in the town of Carillon. All of the downstairs in the buildings are businesses and all of the upstairs are condos. There are also some houses on the other side of the lake from the shopping center. Carillon Beach Sports Grill is one of these businesses. It is owned by a man from Georgia and the servers and bartenders, in the summer, are his children. The food is good and the atmosphere is better. You feel like you're in their family. Trivia nights are our favorites. It is live trivia and you play in teams. The owner comes up with all of the questions and if there's a holiday nearby they are usually themed. The game is hard but the fun you have is worth it. more

This places number one selling point is their live trivia. You can compete in teams and win prizes. There are also prizes given out through out the game for random things such as the first person to present a business card from a lawyer. This grill is family owned and operated. While we were there only one employee was not related to the others. It is a smaller place and lesser known among tourists so you can enjoy a more laid back scene. The food is great and they have typical items you would expect from a grill. In particular I enjoy the Steak and Cheese. The grill is located in a mini-town made up of condos and little shops. It is really pretty and worth a visit if you are in the area. more
