So, it's ""just"" a coffee shop, but they do a great job of offering so many different seating options. You can go to just chat with friends, to browse the internet, (almost) slee...

Mediocre coffee in a precious pseudo-wilderness environment 6/9/2006

Caribou Coffee sits in a prime people-watching spot on the corner of 4th and Main in downtown Royal Oak. What used to be the Coffee Exchange years ago is now a wood planked, moose decorated, cabin-like cafe. The drip coffee is decent, however the espresso drinks are pretty generic. My americano tasted horrible and the latte was more like a cafe au lait. That said, if you're not looking for more than a cup of joe and a spot to sit and relax than this definitely fits the bill. more

Good atmosphere 3/29/2006

Caribou is across the street from the top coffee shop in America (guess which one). The fact that they can stay open says a lot! They have a good variety of coffee and espresso drinks, and baked treats as well. This location in downtown Royal Oak has a lot of seating and a great atmosphere. I love that Caribou's are designed like cabins, with stuffed animal heads on the walls. Very cute. more
