Caribou Coffee is a coffee house chain with a cabin feel. There is a large selection of beverages, primarily coffee drinks, of course. However, my favorites are the Chai and Smoothies. They have a small bakery case with different muffin and scone varieties, chocolate chunk cookies, lemon cake and cinnamon rolls all around $2. None taste freshly baked but are all decent. I usually get either the French Toast muffin or the Cranberry Orange scone which has lots of orange zest. There are also a few saran-wrapped sandwiches and bottled drinks displayed. The mixing stations are well-stocked with different milks, sweeteners (glad they have Splenda) and flavorings. They have free local papers to read, a few board games and a children's play area. more

Caribou is a great alternative to Starbucks. They have a great menu with many items to choose from, including fresh baked bakery products (try the Cinnamon Scone!). They have excellent espresso drinks. I love the Lite White Berry, a mixture of skim milk, white cocoa, espresso, and a shot of berry flavor. It's rich but still low fat. more

I like to stop here on the way to visit my friend. The staff is always super friendly. They make great hot cocoa, as I am not a big fan of coffee. I especially enjoy the raspberry with whipped cream --delicious!Some places I have tried have so much caffeine it gives me a headache from the overload. more
