CareNow Urgent Care - Craig & Clayton

Mary at the front desk is so ghetto and this place is horrible. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. STAY AWAY. This is what I sent today to the customer service people. And trust me, I am not done. ******************************* To Whom it May Concern, Today at 2:30 pm myself, my 4 year old son and 1 year old son came into the UMC quick care on Craig Rd for my son's ear infection. We waited an hour until the most unfortunate and horribly embarassing incident occurred. My 1 year old was playing in the waiting room pushing a stroller around. Occasionally it got stuck and he would scream out of frustration because he is 1 and cannot communicate with words yet. I take him outside as soon as this happens EVERY TIME to punish him and calm him down before coming back in. The fourth time it happens, Mary who works the desk there, in front of everyone loudly, yells to me in the waiting room, ""YOU NEED TO CONTROL YOUR CHILD!"" I'm shocked everyone stops what they are doing and watches this woman completely disrespect and embarass me. I stand up turn around and say, ""Excuse me?"" She says, ""We cannot hear on the phone back here because of him."" and I reply, ""I am doing what I can, he is one, every time he's screamed (which was 4 times at that point) I've taken him outside. You need to drop the rude attitude - what kind of customer service is that?"" *******She says, ""What kind of parent are you that you can't control your child?""******** I am shocked and livid at this point. How dare one of your ""quality care"" personnel speak to me in that manner? My husband is in Iraq right now defending yours, mine, and her freedom right now and I get disrespected in this manner? Never in my life has anyone ever spoke to me in that way. I walk up to the counter look her in the eye and say, ""What kind of parent am I? Really???Because I am not beating my child in public I am a horrible parent? What kind of parent are you a perfect one?"" She says, ""Well my kids don't act like that."" I respond, "" You better be glad you are on the other side of that counter and I have my children with me because that is uncalled for."" At this point another woman who works there tells me to leave. I do gladly and will never return even if my life depended on it. I am appalled at the complete uncivil actions of your personnel and UMC quick care and demand that Mary be reprimanded in the most severe way possible. I will be contacting every possible avenue in my reach to make sure something gets done about these kind of uncivilized people and care. I expect to hear back from a representative as soon as possible concerning this manner. ************* more

We've had to go here often, the wait is usually long and there are a lot of sick people here all the time. The staff is over worked and they have to put up with a lot of upset people. We've had both good and bad experiences here, but usually they do the job. When it takes days or even weeks to get into a regual doctor when your sick you can always come here and get seen and start on the meds. Not the best place to come for serious emergencies. more

We have a family doctor but when a medical necessity comes up out of normal office hours, how nice we have a place to receive good care. In two years both my husband and I have had occasion to use this facility. The wait can be long, but we wait at our family doctor as well. It is the nature of managed care. The wait at most emergency rooms is much much longer and very expensive. Used as it should be, with follow up with your own doctor this is an excellent place to go for urgent medical care. more

We took my daughter here when she was very sick.. They took a chest x-ray of her and what they came back with was that she had a Urinary Tract Infection.. I had to take her to North Vista Hospital later that night and it turned out she had PNEMONIA!!!! How in the heck could they have missed that and said it was something totally different? How long you have to wait at this place depends on the day and time you go. My husband was able to get in and out with no problems a few days ago, but there have been times when we have had to wait over an hour to get called back. For the most part the doctors are okay... I wouldn't recommend this be te first place you look at going to, but if there was NO other option I would have to go here.. Cons: Everything more

Totally agree with the first post. If this were the only quick care in Las Vegas, I would go to the next city. EXTREMELY unprofessional. And when you have a question about a prescription - well, you're just not going to get an answer. I do understand the pressures that Quick Cares are under, but they need to realize that they are working with individuals who each are extremely concerned about their own health. You know, I had the feeling like I was a piece of cattle in the vets office where they give injections to all the cattle. Very, very bad! Avoid this place! wait all day, receptionist has attitude and english is obviously not her first or second language, finally see doctor, all 400lbs, unprofessional, slovenly, unqualified, looks and acts like a reject from some prison infirmary, want poor unprofessional service and treatment, go to UMC 2202 West Craig Road Las Vegas! Pros: Thumbs Down Cons: They are the worst I have experienced in 49 years.. more
