I had a horrible customer service experience with Care Medical. So bad I had to switch my order to another company. more

I have been trying to get "CARE MEDICAL" of Athens Ga. to order a new replacement wheelchair for me, and they do nothing, but give me the run around, I have used a wheelchair since 1978 and have spinal cord injury along with degenerative bone disease, I have had 43 bone surgeries, including rotor cuff replacement, 1/4 of my spine removed, toes amputated, pins put in my hand to prevent my hand from becoming "clubbed" as my feet were before surgery,and a metal elbow I also have low blood pressure, and low blood sugar, which requires a service dog to watch me, making sure I don't pass out. I see my doctor regularly, and he has filled out the forms required by medicare, who sent me a letter stating I qualified for another chair. But the people that work at "Care", don't care.\r Because I've complained about the attitude from bookkeeping, sales girl, and maintaince (when I needed to buy new tires) "Care" has decided to refuse to sell me a new wheelchair. I have had 6 manual wheelchairs, and 1 motorized chair. and the one I'm using is almost 20 years old, and I need a new version of the one I am presently using, I live in Senior housing, and in the past have referred many people to ""Care"". BUT no more I'll post this on the bulletin board to let everyone know how they have treated a 77 year old, disabled Native American!!!!! more

I have an 8 month old special needs child. As if that's not hard enough, I have to deal with ignorant people at an unprofessional business to try to get her home health supplies.\r \r My husband and I lived in Fort Campbell, KY until the beginning of May. Our home health supplier, Pennyrile, was amazing! At the beginning of April we began our search for a supplier in GA. Tricare found Care Medical. I had all of my daughters prescriptions for supplies faxed and we even set up a delivery date- May 17. I conversed several times with Care Medical to confirm exactly what she needed. May 17 came and went. In may 18 I called. They had no record of my daughter needing any supplies! I gave them a list of everything she needed, even gave them the name and number of my old supplier and doctor in case they needed to call. I called 3 more times and was told they would call me back. I never heard anything. Finally, June 15 they delivered something. Everything was either wrong, or it was something I di more

What a lying incompassionate bunch of crooks! Paid for a wheelchair for my mom for months that was supposed to be ours after paying on after a while, called us the day she died wanting to pick it up.Told them I couldn't deal with this right now and they sent someone unannounced to pick up the morning of her funeral. Friends told me they had simalar experiances. more

True Care Medical has been in the area for a while now, but they are not a company that I would do business with..1- patient nevers get a true answer always a run around,2- they do not have the necessary paperwork to file claims, 3- when you call and finally get someone that wants to help and is willing to help you find out that they're no longer there, so that leads one the believe 4- that they treat their employees like dirt. I have friends that have used this company and have had nothing but problems. more

The Care Medical that sells the chairs and fills prescriptions on baxter street that is now moving to the basement on prince Avenue has come off as a very Unproffessional Operation.\r \r I was told numerous times that my chair would be delivered on a certain day and was given the run around several times.\r Its now been two weeks and I still do not have my chair, \r I called the Supervisor Monday because my chair was suppose to be here this Monday, this June 7th 2010 and\r It was not delivered.\r \r The Supervisor laughed at me, And now it will be Thursday they say?.\r I went to the Doctor in Athens Last Week and decided to go by and take a look at the chair, but they were moving there entire store to prince avenue and had my chair loaded with many others on a moving truck.\r \r Pretty Amazing people Right?\r Couldnt deliver my chair as promised and chose to move and give me the runaround instead of delivering my chair.\r You know most people with CARE before there name tend to put there customers more

I have been a regular customer of Care Medical for more than ten years. I have found them reliable, cost effective, well informed, and courteous and friendly. Can't imagine being served better anywhere else.\r Rich W. more

This business offers almost any kind of medical equipment that you would need for sale or for rent. It is convienently located near Athens Regional Medical Center and many of the doctors on Prince Ave. The people that I interacted with were very helpful and very friendly. If your doctor thinks you need it, you will probably be able to get it here. more
