Care Hospital for Animals is NOT good 2/22/2010

I took my cat to get front declawed and a few days after he was home he stopped walking on one of his paws. I looked at it closely and there was still a claw in his toe and it was pointed to his side not out front like they normally are! I took him back in to show the Dr. Stevens and he said there's no claw there and prescribed antibiotics for the infection because of his mess up! I had pictures CLEARLY showing the non aligning claw! I recommend that nobody take their pets here. They are cheap, but you get what you pay for. This place is ridiculous. Pros: cheap Cons: poor care more

  • The Care Hospital For animals practice is limited to the care of dogs and cats.Early on, the Care Hospital For Animals developed a reputation for performing advanced surgical procedures and informally functioned as a regional surgical referral hospital for many veterinarians in the area.Veterinary medicine has changed drastically over the past 35 years. Knowledge has increased, technology has changed, and pet's are living longer. On the downside, veterinarians have become more reliant on diagnostic tests and, as a result, the cost of veterinary care has increased accordingly. While Dr. Stevens does believes in the value of diagnostic tests, he relies heavily on his years of experience to provide a practical, common sense approach to medical care, and a practical, common sense approach deciding what tests might be necessary. The Care Hospital For Animals is well equipped, but in doing so has tried to meet the needs of the of our patients, while avoi ding the temptation to purchase a piece of equipment in hopes of finding patient to use it on. HOURS:Mon. 7:00am-7:00pmTues. 7:00am-5:00pmWed. 7:00am-5:00pmThurs. 7:00am-6:00pmFri. 7:00am-5:00pm. MEDICAL CAREWe routinely see and treat all types of medical problems. We strive to resolve your pets problem as comfortably and efficiently as we can,and when indicated,do our best to minimize the recurrence of chronic problems. PREVENTATIVE HEALTH CAREAlthough we will always strive to offer the best medical care that we can for your sick or injured pet,we would much rather work in conjunction with you in an effort to prevent problems and extend you pets life. Semiannual to annual physical examinations and preventative laboratory testing are critical in the early detection of disease. Early detection of disease is critical in prolonging a pet's life. Vaccinations and parasite protection are important as well, and we do our best to try to customize our recommendations based on the life style and potential risk factors of and individual pet. LABORATORY SERVICESLaboratory testing is not only important in the management of sick and injured patient s,but also plays an important role in disease prevention and the management of chronic problems. The Care Hospital For Animals is equipped to perform a wide variety of laboratory procedures on the premises. This enables to provide better care for patients that need answers NOW. We have two blood chemistry analyzers.
