Cardamuro's Italian Cafe

To worst review comments, the word is spelled arrogant, which I've been going to Cardamuro's since the day it opened and the owner is amazing to everyone along with the food! No one has authentic Italian food like his, and with his roots being actually from Italy, it shows! Unfortunately today I learned that he has closed down the location in Sugar Hill, but hopefully will resurface in a better location and let all of his ""LOYAL"" customers who don't complain about every little thing, know where he is going to be, along with his amazing menu of food!!!! more

Being a North Easterner, this restaurant reminds me of home. The pizza and Stromboli's are incredible. I feel the service is great. The owner is personable and will answer any questions that you may have. The atmosphere is nice and the cleanliness of the restaurant, which is very important to me is great. I cant wait to go back and try another dish and the Tiramisu, which the owner makes from scratch looks incredible. He brought it out and showed it to us. I think this place is the best kept secret in Sugar Hill and only regret not knowing about it until this year. In restaurant, you cant have a successful place for over 13 years and not be good. I HIGHLY recommend trying it. I think anyone that knows great food will enjoy it immensely. more

Myself and my girl friend (GF) cooks a lot, and we think we have a taste bud for good food. (I think we spend too much time watching the food network) I stopped by for an dessert and coffee last year, the tiramisu was just amazing, and his passion to talk about his creation made me want to come try the food. I came for a Valentines day dinner, and has been telling my GF about this little place on Cumming Hwy, that has a most incredible Tiramisu. We ordered Calamari for appetizer, Gnocchi Pesto and Pasta Carbonala with panchetta. Friedn Calamari was served with the house marinara sauce, sauce was so good, we kept imaging about a pizza made with this marinara sauce... calamari had a very light batter and not greasy at all, seasoning was just perfect, we even finished all the crumbs on the plate. The pasta was served with a fresh baked rolls, with garlic oil dipping sauce, mmmmm. The Gnocchi was delicious surrounded with a creamy pesto sauce, pasta carbonara, the panchetta was not salty at all, and the pasta was served aldente, not soggy like other Italian restaurants, the pasta was freshly made, again the seasoning was just perfect. For dessert we shared a Tilamisu, it was well worth the wait and the drive. For the quality of the food, the price was quite low, it was a great value. A hidden Italian treasure in a Publix shopping area. If you are looking for very tasty Italian, I'm sure it's worth the drive to visit them. Our order was incorrect which was not this issue. The owner actually yelled at us and told us not to order the item again. When we told him we would not be back, he told us that he did not want us to come back. He never apologized for their mistake or offered a refund. He was very unprofessional and arrongant. Everything is delicious! Pizza, lasagna, greek salad!! Everything I've had has been perfect!! Owner is always there and making sure everyone is happy, he even waits tables at times. Wonderful family atmosphere! Great food!!! Pros: Best pizza in town more

My wife and I eat there all the time w/ our son. Great family atmosphere. Nothing fancy, just good food. Bread and Garlic Oil - awesome! Chicken Parmesean - awesome!
