This place is the worst car shop I have ever been too!!!! I went in for a simple oil change and when they handed back my keys I notice that they crack the remote part of the key. The manager never said sorry to me and that the reason why the key was broken was because the screw was held in by glue!!! That was the stupidest excuse that I have ever heard.... the manager didnt even want to refund my money to me until I started to argue with him!!!! Never go there if you still want your keys to work!!!! more

No place but Car X for me. 7/3/2010

When my 2003 Neon started having problems at 60,000 miles, i took a chance at Car X in Libertyville. I was a bit reluctant about mechanics to begin with, but after the service, honesty, and professionalism that I experianced with these guys, i will not bring my car to another shop. They pinpoint the problem, show you the problem, discuss and review all parts and labor costs, and so much more. I only live to blocks from the shop, but everytime i drop my car off, they offer me a ride to my house or work. These guys are the best!!! more

This CarX has been great in terms of fitting me in without an appointment, and being willing to take a second look after repairs were done but the problem seemed to persist. Hats off to Rick and the mechanics at Libertyville CarX for your top notch customer service. It's much appreciated. more
