Great shop! No wait time at all. They took my car right in, and got right to work on it. I was very happy with the results. They did such a good job. I would definitely recommend anyone to come here. more

Great recommendations and prices 10/19/2011

I have brought my work trucks and personal cars to Car-X for years. In every case their recommendations for what brand of tires and their prices are always great. No need to shop around. They also have done the brakes on my Mercedes saving me some serious $ compared to the dealer. They are car guys and know their stuff. They get pretty busy so an early drop off is recommended. more

Convenient 10/11/2011

It is convenient to scheduled an appointment time. I really liked the fact that the mechanics checked things like my front & back lights and wiper blades on an appointment for an oil change. Some rear lights were out and the wiper blades needed to be replaced. I wasn't aware of these things prior to my visit. more

Wonderful shop. I have had nothing but the greatest experience here. Anytime I have an issue with my vehicle, I don't even think of taking it anywhere else. They are professional, hard working, and know exactly what is going on when there is a problem. more

The coolest thing about the guys that work here is that they are honest about the costs, they take the time to make sure you understand the work that needs to be done, and they put in the work to make sure the repairs are done correctly. I recommend these guys highly. more

Great service! 9/16/2011

Everything is great at Car-X Auto Service, I needed to change my two front brakes and two front rotors with it so they did it the same day and charge less than Firestone. I will be back again. Thank you! more

A Jalopy 9/12/2011

After the first time in this place I took my car for the second time. These guys are nice to you even if you're bringing in a jalopy. They will patiently tell you the needed repairs, the priorities and economical alternatives. The manager will even wait on you if you are running late, how cool is that? Oh yeah, and the price is right! more

I have been dealing with your Chicago branch for over 5 years and have to let you know what a great service and work ethic your workers provide. They are not only very hard workers, they have great personality and are fair to their customers. Some workers were gone from this shop for a while and I went elsewhere for my auto service and was not happy at all. When I heard that they were back, I immediately returned to being a regular customer. The rest of the employees at this location are first class as well. more

Quality Work!! 9/6/2011

I've always had fast and friendly service here and never once have I felt screwed over, pressured or taken advantage of. While you may be able to find a less expensive shop, at Car-X, when they fix something, you aren't going to have to come back and have it re-done 3 weeks later. They do it once and they do it right, quality work all the way. They are also very accommodating about off hour drop offs and rush jobs, what more could you ask for? more

Superb! 8/31/2011

Finally a great shop: I recently took my car to Car-X Auto Service for an engine problem. I was told by another shop my car needed $700.00 worth of work. Car-X Auto Service checked it out and saved me $300.00. They were able to correctly diagnose it and made the repair very quickly and the car is running perfectly. Finally a great shop that knows what they are doing. Thank you very much for your AWESOME service! more

The waiting area is clean and bright, with a good selection of magazines (including magazines with primarily female readerships). Car-X also will give you free rides while they fix your car. more

Quick!! 8/26/2011

I brought in my '06 Audi after banging up a rear wheel quite badly (a power-slide gone awry...), and they gave her excellent care. They were quick to hop on the problem, good at interacting with my insurance (who had no complaints about Car-X trying to do any unnecessary work), and kept me up to date as the problem(s) got solved and parts came in. more
