Not very happy 8/19/2010

I was impressed with my sales representative who worked very hard to help me find two cars for purchase and I also sold another car. The problem came when I did not receive my refund. I have made several calls to the Ontario store and I have only receive promises of phone calls. To date I have not receive my check only excuses. I understand mistakes happen just take ownership and get it resolved. more

Feels like a ripoff 2/2/2010

If you're thinking about buying from CarMax, particularly the one in Ontario, the first thing I advise is not to believe the hype and advertising. The short story is I purchased a car from them 8/09. 8 days later it overheated and I had to pay $200+ for repair. A month later the rear brakes were replaced, another $200+. Then a month later the front brake pads were replaced because of inferior after-market pads CarMax apparently installed. All told I'm out $600 but that's not the worst. I wrote to the service manager and then the General Manager to see if I could recoup any money for those repairs. I have not received a reply or even so much as a phone call. If you do your research you will find similiar complaints. Buyer beware!! more

I'll be back 10/27/2008

Went to Car Max this past weekend. The experience was very good. The store was clean. The staff was friendly. The best part, was we didn't have a sales person clinging to us. Paula did a really good job of helping us. Spent the time to answer our questions and help us make our decision. I would have liked to have gotten more for my trade in. And I'm waiting on a service rec. to go through. If the service dept. works like the sales department, I'll gladly change this to a 5-star rating. more
