The little Italian grocery store has turned into "markets" with the opening of two more in recent years.
They specialize in ethnic food, with Italian being the major focus. What this means is a wall of peppers ---who would have thought there were that many different kinds of peppers used in the world! They also cut out the middleman, so produce is CHEAP. I mean, real cheap. One draw back to this, however, is that sometimes the produce isn't "perfect," but when you are paying 49 cents a pound for red peppers who really cares!
They have an amazing meat counter, with a large variety of different kinds of sausage, etc. They sell wonderful bread, and they have a good selection of pastries.
