Captain's Gallery

I just love going to Captains Galley for their king crab legs. You get a huge portion and end up taking the rest home in a doggy bag. The only downside to this restaurant is the long wait for your table. It is very small and crowded and half the time you end up standing around waiting for a table because all of the benches and chairs are taken. The last time my family and I ended up walking out after waiting more than an hour and went to Jimmy's up the street. more

Captain's Galley, across from the Beach, is able to serve great beef dishes, and seafood, and Italian - I find it rare that a restaurant can do all three well. There are amazing specials - a HUGE filet mignon - it looks like a small roast, with salad, veggie and starch, bread basket, etc. for super cheap and it is amazingly good. Easily something that could feed two people - you will definately have leftovers. Some of their pasta seafood items seem steep in price in comparision to the beef entrees The problem is their is a very long wait and not much space in the bar to wait. So you either wait outside, which is OK in the summer (although the bar service is slow and appetizers are not available while you wait as of the last time I was there, which was an hour wait). You can go walk the beach, but it is hard to know when your turn will come up. I would recommend going at lunch time, it is cheaper and not as busy. more
