Easy review...\r
First of all the ambience is very nice...not upscale/sophisticated nice, but comfortable like a home nice. \r
Welcomed nicely, taken to a great table when it was not a very busy hour and the complimentary bread was delicious. The service was professional in a true sense of the word. Our waiter was an older gentleman who obviously has perfected his craft. We had a young child with us, which I was hesitant to do, but the waiter treated her as though she could be a returning customer...which she will be!\r
It was my first time there and the first thing that caught my attention when viewing the menu was that the food was rather expensive. So, I figured, let's not go with the fettucine alfredo or another typical plate, but let's enjoy the best this restaurant has to offer. A friend of mine taught me long ago, that one might ask the waiter what it is they should have, and obiously take it under strong advisement. Well, that is what I did! He said the special of the day was snapper...uh-oh, I practically never order cooked seafood! I went with my instinct anyway after he explained how it was aquired, prepared and served...IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST DELICIOUS MEALS I HAVE EVER EATEN! The downside, it was $36. hardly a price to pay for such a memorable meal.\r

As I mentioned before, the waiter was a pro. The owner sang some opera which was not anticipated, but a wonderful surprise. I believe he checked with a table nearby and they requested or accepted his offer, so I don't think this could be some random situation of discomfort for a diner. A pianist was also playing lovely music, setting a mood and theme for the evening.\r

This is a restaurant that you want to call your ver own and become a regular at...the prices may prevent that though. A top notch restaurant that will be revisited many times to come!\r

Downside - the bathroom was dirty and small, which really takes away from an overall experience for me...also, it was right across from a kitchen entrance :(\r
\r
Overall, a gem that you might not expect to be there...well done!
