I've been here many times, but primarily during the day when nearly empty. The food is very well done. True that the place needs a decor transformation, since it's still stuck in the 80's. At first glance, this North Bergen Italian eatery has little to recommend it. It's a little out of the way on the south-bound side of the swift moving Tonnelle Avenue. Inside the seating is utilitarian and the decor bargain basement-esque with a slightly Floridian feel. But as you look around you realize that not only is the place full, but full of Italians. One family table after the next interspersed with couples at the tables for two. The reason is twofold. The service staff could not be any nicer. And the food is incredible. In fact its so good that you may well continue to eat long after you are satiated. So treat yourself to a different place with great service, some interesting characters, (if Central Casting needed extras for the Sopranos they would do well here!) and food so good you'll be telling all your friends about your find!
