I went to Cappy's Shoe Repair to get a pair of shoes dyed to match a bridesmaids dress for a wedding I'm in. The shoes were way too dark and not even close to the swatch I left for them to match. I told them I wasn't happy with the color and they didn't seem to care. His attitude was basically too bad there is nothing we can do. I paid a lot of money to have the shoes dyed there and I left there unhappy. I've never written a bad review on any business until now. I will never go to Cappy's again and I would never recommend them to anyone. more

Terrible service/no repair done! 2/14/2012

I dropped off my leather purse for a simple clasp repair which, at the time of dropoff, I was told could easily be done. After 10 days (and no phone call), my husband came in to pick up my purse, only to be surprised that they couldn't find my item. When they found the bag, it was not fixed because Cappy's said it was too complicated and that he forgot to call to tell me about it. My husband suggested several alternative fixes, which Cappy's said couldn't be done. My husband then went to Home Depot, bought a simple tool, and fixed the clasp in 10 minutes. I will never go to Cappy's again nor can I recommend them to anybody who expects decent service! more

Great service and high quality work. 8/24/2006

These guys are great. They do really quality work and give great money saving and shoe maintainence suggestions. Good value. The service is pretty quick. I drop 5-7 pairs of shoes at a time before the season begins-- they are done quickly and hold up great. Definately go there if you are from or near the area. more
