I went today with my co-workers for dinner and the place was STINKY, DIRTY AND HOT! They did not have the air conditioning running so they had the front door left open. HUGE FLIES WERE ALL OVER US AND OUR FOOD. It made me think if the floor was like that, I wonder how the kitchen was! The CHICKEN PARMESAN WAS LIKE LEATHER, THE BREAD WAS HARD LIKE A ROCK, OUR SODAS WERE FLAT, THE $18 SALMON WAS AS THIN AS PAPER! I know veal is supposed to melt in your mouth but at this place, it was so tough and chewy like horse meat! MY SHOE IS MORE TENDER THAN THE VEAL AT THIS RESTAURANT!! The TOILET WAS BACKED UP WITH BROWN STUFF, and when I reported it to one of the servers, she went to the owner and he just nodded but ignored it! SAVE YOUR MONEY! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! After reading all the mixed reviews, I decided to give this place a try myself so I took my whole family there - my husband and three kids. The place looked nice but it looked like it had not been cleaned for a long time. We also looked in the open kitchen and saw the chef, he was grumpy and he was also very dirty. There was no wine menu, so if you like wine, this is not the place for you unless you dont mind drinking wine from a carton. I like clams so i ordered the Linguine Vongole and it barely had any clams in it and it was tasteless and watery. We ordered kids pizza and spaghetti marinara for our kids. And my husband got the Tequila Lime. They forgot to make the pizza for our kids so that did not come out on time and when my husband got the tequila lime, the dish had 4 or 5 pieces of small chicken cubes in it and it did not taste like tequila lime fettucini at all! My kids' spaghetti marinara was like spaghetti soup! We complained to our server and he went to the chef but nothing happened. And we still have not gotten the kids' pizza. We were hungry so we still ate some of our food. When we got done, our kids' pizza came out. But at that point, we were just so disappointed with the place that we did not bother to take the pizza. This was the first and last time we go there and all the good reviews I have seen here must have been written by the owner or his relatives. I wish I would have taken the bad reviews into serious consideration. We felt so cheated, it was like throwing your hard-earned money out in the gutter. If you're in the area and you're hungry, MacDonald's is a walking distance from this place. When you experience a place like Capone's, it really does make you appreciate MacDonald's and Subway. My husband, two kids, and I used to go to this place a lot back in the summer of 2008 when the place first opened. The food was fabulous then, service was good too. However, back then, there was a different chef. Ever since the owner Hamid took over the cooking, the quality of the food went downhill. It's no surprise that the place is always almost empty! The last straw for us was when we smelled gas fumes coming from the kitchen because of their toilets being backed up, AND when the bus boy chased TWO BIG RODENTS out through the front door! We could not believe our eyes! Right then and there, we got up from our table and walked out before we could even order. There are so many Italian restaurants to eat at -- this place will make you sick if you eat there! Who would want to take a health risk?! we go to Capones since they opened in Placentia. we needed a good Italian restauant in Placentia. The service here is very good and friendly. As far as the food goes I can only say that we never been disappointed here . My personal dish here is the Farfalle O'sole mio and my wife loves the Scampi. The bread rolls here is fresh and really tasty. It is a huge place. so even if they have 10 table still looks empty. But you should give it a try. Pros: nice patio, delicious food more

Me and my husband had our rehearsal dinner couple of days ago. The owner and staff were very helpfull and they made me proud to have our dinner there in front of my family and freinds.the food was excellent as they promised. Everything was perfect. the staff did a great job.It look like the owner was not thinking about how much he can make a profit of wine when he told me that we can have full craft wine instead of buying bottle of wine which could cost us much more. We used to go to Capone's in Huntington Beach and that place had good food and good service, and the owner ""Dino Ferraro"" was always very nice. Then recently we moved to Placentia and we found out that there was a Capone's in Placentia. We went there to give it a try and this was totally different from the Capone's owned by ""Dino Ferraro"". Food was terrible, service was bad, and so-called ""Chef Henry"" does not have a clue about cooking! Through the staff at Capone's in Placentia, we found out that Chef Henry's real name is ""Hamid"" (who is middle-eastern) and ""Dino Ferraro"" are brothers! How can ""Dino Ferraro"" claim that he is Italian when he has a Middle-Eastern brother??! At least Dino was doing a good job in Huntington Beach, but why does every middle-eastern think he can just open up an Italian restaurant? This so-called Chef Henry should stick to hummus and couscous!!! THE PLACE IS DIRTY, FOOD IS SOOOOO BAD AND IT'S WAY OVERPRICED!!! MACDONALD'S WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER CHOICE!! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND WE ARE SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THE LIES!!! ONE STAR IS NOT EVEN DESERVED - IF THERE WAS A CHOICE OF NO STARS, I'D PICK THAT! Cons: Bad food, bad service, overpriced! went to eat at Capone's on Sunday evening. hardly anyone was there, yet it took 40 mins for the food to come out.. the chef was in the kitchen yelling at a waiter, telling him to get out, or he was going to go home.. my food was not cooked throurouly, my chicken was still pink... the waitress apoligized a million times, which was nice and all, but they should have offered some appetizer for the 40 min wait. it was terrible, normally they are on their ""A game"". but Sunday was bad. i guess the chef was called in ( he is related to the owner). he was definetely not happy to be there. i was scared to send my food back. i don't think i will go back. which is a shame because i had a great experience the first couple of times. I saw a review on InHome Magazine about Capones Ristorante in Placentia. I thought I should give it a try to see if the food is good.I went there on Friday night the place was so busy we had to wait 15 min. I had the Farfaller O'sole Mio which the server recommand and my Wife had the Chicken Marsala. The food was sooooooo good and tasty. Our server was very friendly .My kids love the restaurant since they have a magician entertaining the guests. He is performing every friday. Pros: Good parking, great food ,friendly service more

This is the third time that I have visited Capones Ristorante in Placentia and everytime I have been suprised by their variety of food selection on their menu. I had chicken Picatta and my wife had the night special which was almund crusted Halibut. It was wonderful, tasty and great presentaion by the chef. The service was friendly . We had a reservation for friday night since we been told that this place is crowded on weekends. we arrived on time and got our table also on time.I will for sure recommand this restaurant to all. As far a food and service Capone's should dine at The Olive Garden and learn about Italian food and good service. It's a shame because Capone's had canvassers in our neighborhood to introduce the restaurant but once I had dinned there I won't return. They ran out of bread, told it would be 3 or 4 minutes and 25 later they delivered our bread. My pasta was over cooked and tasted like stings of dough. Had there been enough sauce it would have added some moisture to the pasta. We ate at Capone's a few days ago and we must say that we enjoyed it so much! It is a nice atmosphere and the staff was so nice and helpful. The manager is amazing and was very friendly and greeted each guest. more

We went on Tuesday Night service was horrible place was very very dirty, food tasted worst that CHEF BOY ARDEE if the chef is the owner he need a lot lot of tranning . He is giving italian food bad bad name . Dressing for salad are tastless watery and smell like garlic for days specialy the so called Italin dressing and the garlic bread what a joke . If the just took over this place might not last more than 6 months. He should turn this in to a Persian Restaurant he might have better luck . Grape leafes on a Italian Menu what a joke. We had a family gathering at Capone's in Placentia for the first time after several years and we had such a wonderful time. The food was absolutely wonderful. I would recomend this restaurant to everyone. Pros: Wine and desert more
