Capitol Barber Shop

Please do yourself a favor and pick another place that actually knows how to cut men's hair. I should have known when I walked in and got a hair cut within 15 min, but I was happy for the short wait. I would have rather waited an hour to get a decent haircut. Now I look horrible and my hair is sticking out because they don't even know how to use clippers. How awful...I will never go back. more

The Capitol Barber Shop is within walking distance of my apt, so I decided to try it out. First of all let me say that they did a fantastic job of cutting my hair (which isn't saying too much as my hair is fairly easy to cut--but still, I've had some bad haircuts in my day). The staff, 2 male barbers who are cousins and pretty much run the business are very friendly (Luis told me this story of how he got into cutting hair and made pleasant small talk etc). As for this being the place to bring kids, as mentioned in other reviews, that depends. I'd put this as being a more "man's man" kinda shop--lets just say they have an extensive collection of Playboys and High Times for you to read while you wait for an opening. I consider this to be a good thing though!! But some parents may not. I would definitely go back here again, and would also recommend them to my male friends. $15 for a haircut. more

This is a great place to bring your kids and and get a quick hair cut. They are fast and keep your kids quiet by providing them with stuff to do. They have excellence service and are a great place to have your hair done. This is one of the places I go to get my hair done and I sure love 'em! more

I took my younger cousin here to get his hair cut. Capitol Barber Shop was one of the better barber shops I have been to. The amount of space that the shop has for just the few barbers that work there is more than they need, but it contributes to a comfortable atmosphere. The barber that cut my cousin's hair followed my instructions exactly the way I asked and didn't cut his hair too long or short. more
