OK if you know what you want 6/13/2007

This has a couple locations - so may vary where you go. They have a fair selection and price of large trees to small, and garden plants. But nothing extravagant (however a few bamboos though) to speak of. They will order for you, but you need to know what you want. Their service is lacking, and won't really help you in chosing varieties or types of similar trees. Self serve really. Also, many of their 15g and 24" box trees are topped, co-dominant leaders or otherwise less than ideal specimens (too common these days it seems to me). Be careful to select it yourself. Silverado Building Materials is adding much more selection, worth a look. Have found good prices on a few things there. more

Sign Said... 3/16/2006

Capital Nursery is a fun place to walk through and look at plants and accessories for your yard. But, the staff are not real helpful or maybe it's just that they don't care. Then the sign promotes indoor plants. I never really see a selection worth purchasing. They could be more help all in all. I'd go more often if they were more helpful because I need clarification on growing plants. It's almost like going to a fancy Home Depot or Target -- just more pricey. more

Capital Nursery, a place to learn how to take care of your garden or yard. This place has been part of our local county for over sixty years. Not only is this a place for learn for yourself this place would be a good school trip for young children, who likes to learn about plants.
