I purchased $2500 worth of door knobs from this company on 12/14/2009 through baldwinbrasshardware, and $600 worth of cabinet hardware through cabinetpull on 12/7/2009.
I called after almost one month of waiting, on 1/4/2010 they cannot give me an estimated time when my order will arrive. I told the salesman, Mike, my house will be ready by the end of next week and this will give him another two weeks to get the items. He said, however he don't think the items will be in the shop by the end of next week.
And when I kindly asked them to ship me what they got so far and let me know what else I am still missing so I can purchase them from my local store, the salesman, Mike, is completely impatient and very unwilling to go through my order list. He keeps on telling me, I just need to wait for my order to come in near the end of Jan 2010!
I had to raise my voice, threaten to cancel my whole order & asked for someone else to help me in order for him to tell me exactly what items are missing from my order!
And one day later, 1/5/2010, he sent me an email telling me what items are still missing from my order and he will have to charge me 25% restocking fee if I would cancel them.
Keep in mind, the reason I am asking him to cancel the items is because they don?t have them in the stock yet plus they can?t provide me a exact date when the items will arrive.
So he is going to charge me 25% restocking fee on items they do not have in stock.
I had enough with this company; I called my credit card company and file a charge back.
Do not be fooled by their big advertisement. I thought they are a big company with good reputation, I cannot be more wrong.
The bottom line is don?t play nice with this company, better yet, don?t purchase from this company.
Pros: Easy to order
Cons: Long delay and very bad customer service
