I hadn't been to a dentist in 5 years and was dreading it. A friend told me about this office and I have to say they are the best. I recieved xrays and a cleaning with the ultrasonic scaler for $166, and I don't have insurance. I had serious tarter built up and my gums have bleed everyday for at least a year. After one day, no more bleeding. The scaler was a little painful, probably bc my gums were so infected. They let me listen to my iPod and 20 min of discomfort was totally worth it. This office is the best I've been to since I moved here 10 years ago. more

My entire family uses Dr. Mellis 6/27/2008

My husband, both my kids and I love Dr. Mellis. He is a terrific dentist and both my toddlers feel comfortable with him and his staff. They are patient with the kids and happy to answer my endless questions. more

Great staff 2/25/2008

I found Dr. Mellis in the phone book when I moved down here.\r He and his staff are efficient and knowledgeable and friendly.\r I have been going there for almost 3 years now. He is conservative and gives you several options rather than radical treatments. Very direct and honest and doesn't try to nickel and dime you! The only negative thing I can say is the receptionist's attire, too low cut and showing way too much, very unprofessional and inappropriate for her job.\r The last time I was there though, either she left or cleaned up her act because every single employee was wearing scrubs, including the front desk girls. lol more

Dr. Mellis and staff are awesome. Gentle, courteous. Always conscious of cost and careful to give you all options. Will recommend conservative treatments in best attempt to save a tooth and delay elaborate, expensive options until such time that they are absolutely necessary. Clean office, easy to get appointment, never feel rushed, always seen on time. They even offered to help my grandmother during an emergency when her own dentist had "no appointments this week" even for emergencies! more

Great Dentist! 10/24/2006

I really like this place- the staff is super nice; the dental assistants and Dr. Mellis are very gentle and thorough. If you don't have dental insurance, this is definitely the place to go. They are very affordable and definitely worth more than what they charge. I would recommend going here even if you do have dental insurance! more

High Quality Dentistry and Very Friendly Staff 12/28/2005

I hate hate hate getting my teeth cleaned but Dr. Mellis makes it actually not only bearable but okay. He is friendly and engaging and quick. His staff made my cleaning and exam painless and pleasant. I would say they are above average when working with children and very knowledgeable about dentistry. I will be going back!
