we had a party of six and we thought we were the first ones there...the hostess said tables were available, however since the entire party was not present we would have to wait......

Mexican Night at Piccadilly! 7/10/2011

We should have known by ""gourmet"" in the name. The food was beyond bland and overpriced. The snap peas were odd for a Mexican side and underdone. The shrunken heads were creepy and we had poor service. Rather than offering to correct a problem, the waiter said ""that's how it comes."" I got the manager who did change out a meal for another bland one. My wife and I could feed our family at other local Mexican restaurants for what we spent here and got better food. I won't be back. more

second time around still not good 5/21/2011

we had a party of six and we thought we were the first ones there...the hostess said tables were available, however since the entire party was not present we would have to wait...then we realize two of our party were already seated...made me wonder why we would have to wait for the rest of our party when they wouldn't....the waiter messed up my wifes order and then tried to charge us for what he thought she ordered....my fish tacos were horrible...if you want gourmet mexican food go try solario in opryland...the food has much more flavor and the price is right without the attitude.... more

Disappointed 8/12/2010

We had fruit flies buzzing at our table, our waiter was a jerk, the food was bland. I got the chicken enchiladas de mole and the chicken tasted like the canned chicken you get at the grocery store. Their standard side item is snap peas (wierd) and they were not fully cooked. We had reservations and the table was not ready when we arrived so they proceeded to seat us right next to the kitchen. Don't waste your time here. more

Okay Food, Bad Service 4/10/2010

Unfortunately, I have more negative things to say than positive about Cantina Laredo. I have given it a lot of chances but I don't think I can go back anymore. The first thing that bothers me is that it is a chain restaurant, yet they all act very snobby like I just walked into a Michelin star restaurant. They always want to ""explain"" the menu to you, even though there are no specials and the menu is extremely self-explanatory. Service is very inconsistent - some days it's fast, some days you sit there for 10-15 minutes waiting for water even when it's not busy. And the food is really not that great, certainly not great enough to put up with all the negatives. And it's really expensive. Eh. Pros: Convenient Cons: Slow and expensive more

Authentic TexMex Food 1/24/2010

I am a big fan of TexMex restaraunts and this is one of my favorites. I grew up near Dallas and ate at the Cantina Laredo there the last couple of times that I was home and the local one is just as good. They have the best guacamole that I have ever had and I am now trying to copy their recipe. The fajitas are also among the best. The other mexican restaraunts in town just don't measure up. Pros: Great Guacamole and Fajitas Cons: I haven't found any more

Best Mexican in Nashville 12/6/2009

I've been wanting to try out this ""gourmet"" mexican resturant for a few months now, so a few of my girlfriends and I went down for the Thursday Ladies Night . With 1/2 priced wine & margaritas how can you go wrong??? The resturant was packed, the queso with the taco meat was phenomenal, and we had a blast with our server Jeremy. margertias were good and strong. guac at your table was a poor presentation and flavor. had to wait for 10 minutes to get a chip refill. my server talked me out of what i really wanted to get to get something else i had no interest in eating. took forever to get our bills. food was very bland and overpriced. A little disappointed 10/26/2009

I had heard great things about Cantina Laredo, that it was one of the best new restaurants in Nashville, so, of course, I had high expections. But they were soon dashed by reality: Pros: Great Friday bar and happy hour scene (or to be seen) Cons: Food quality not up to expectations more
