Canterbury Park

I am currently a resident at Canterbury. I find these reviews of the community very distasteful, and seems to me these people are only complaining because they were in the wrong. A child died in a house fire in this park a few years back because cars were parked everywhere and the Fire Department could not get through to the home. This is why they are strict on illegal parking! Wake up people! more

My son came to visit someone at the park, and was there less than an hour. When he came out, his truck (actually his fathers) was gone! There are no signs out stating that your vehicle will be towed if not parked in a ""certain"" spot, and we checked. Where's the signs? We're not residents, but we certainly try to be law abiding citizens, and if we'd seen a sign not to park in a parking spot, we would NOT have parked there. more

Allows a business with an F rating into the park to conduct business (Action Towing). Donnita tells her neighbors that their children cannot play in their own home naked if Donnita can see them (a 3year old). Donnita will write you up &threaten to call CPS on you if you have your children in YOUR yard with a 5 FOOT PRIVACY FENCE naked. Donnita breaks the law by telling mothers they cannot nurse in the pool area without turning away & covering. Regardless of your own opinions on this the law is the law and when she tramples one law she can trample others just as easily. I see all these complaints about her making out in the pool but I can't feed my child there? WHAT??? Other reviews have mentioned issues about this Donnita having issues with Hispanics.. my husband is Puerto Rican and has a Hispanic last name.. perhaps that is her problem? more

I have lived at this park twice and moved out just 2 months ago. The park is ok. I never had to deal with managment at all. As long as your rent is paid they leave you alone. I had very nice friendly neighbors and did enjoy living there. If I ever did have a complaint (barking or lose dogs) then lisa was more than happy to handle it for me. They did have security that drove through the park at night, but not sure how effective that is. I did have my car broken into twice but think it was the same person bioth times and we caught him the 2nd time and he was arrested. Its not the best part of town but I had NO complaints about the park, except I am still waiting on my deposit to be refunded. 45 days later. But will handle that seperately. more

I JUST MOVED HERE ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO AND I LOVE IT. THE WOMAN IN THE OFFICE WERE SO HELPFULL THEY HELPED ME BUY MY FIRST HOME :) I LIKE THE FACT THAT I HAVE MY OWN FENCED YARD FOR MY KIDS AND THEIR PUPPY. THEIR IS SECURITY THAT DRIVES AROUND AT NIGHT. ALL THE STREETS ARE LIT UP AT NIGHT AS WELL AS THE MAIL AREA. THEY HAVE A PUBLIC PARK,BASKETBALL COURTS AND A POOL MY BOYS WILL LOVE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMMUNITY TO ANYONE THAT HAS KIDS THIS COMMUNITY IS VERY FAMILY ORENITATED AND THEY GET THE KIDS INVOLVED IN MONTHLY ACTIVITIES IN THE CLUBHOUSE MY KIDS HAVE MET SO MANY FRIENDS. streets are coming apart and full of litter. the park cant fix or repair a damn thing. this is a true slum lord run craphole. they neglect to fix my fence when i got kids ages 1 and 3 broken glass in the road and the pool is discusting. after one year i still have yet to get a fence up. they seem to let any old junkie move in. they seem to favore certen people and pick off the unwanted. i cant even put into words how discusted i am with this park. i pray the hussy in the office gets whats coming to her and others will see this discrace befor making the same mistake i did. they can burn for all i care Pros: not one Cons: ***OFFICE is retarded*** and park condition pathetic more

we just wanted to inform you not to move to Canterbury mobile home park in colorado springs is being ran by unethical people. they are hardly ever in the office so that they can receive rent, and will charge late fees even after they rent has been paid. Danita and her Lesbian girlfriend makeout in front of all of the kids and in the pool. Lisa never handles anything except her smoke breaks and lunch breaks. Complaints are made and nothing is done. Lisa and Danita allow felons Action Towing into the mobile home park, they ticket people that have just been discharged from hospitals, steal from residents, unlawfully put boots on peoples cars. Danita goes into homes after evictions and makes messes in the front yard so the trash will blow into ours and want to charge us 75/hr to clean the mess she made. Nationwide homes has lost many of their homebuyers because nobody wants to live at the Canterbury mobile home park in colorado springs. Not to mention that canterbury park fails to notify its residents that their are registered child molesters living in the park, allow meth houses and prostitution in the park. Danita is racist and dislikes all of the hispanic residents in the park, she is retaliating against them. more

The rules and regulations are treated as an suggestion rather than guidelines. I was at the pool and there were 6 unattended children all under 12. more
