This place looked adorable, so we had to go visit while in Cannon Beach this weekend. Unfortunately, the whole visit was very dissapointing. I tried to order a cocktail with dinner, only to be informed that there was no bartender (on a Friday night) so cocktails were not available. There was only one waitress for the entire restaurant, so I know she was doing the best job she could. Then I received my entree of Halibut and it was VERY overcooked and tasted really fishy, like it was past its prime. Very unacceptable considering it was a $22 entree. In better news, my husband's steak was very tasty, and he was happy because he wanted a beer, not a cocktail. Maybe this is just a better place for brunch, but I would avoid anything seafood or fish. Anytime I go to the beach, I look for an excuse to stop in at this bistro. I had passed over it a couple of times until finally I decided to drop in. My absolute favortie dish during brunch is the Crabcakes Benedict. I can only tell you to try them. Great morning cocktails and a friendly staff. Pros: right next to beach, crabcakes benedict! more
