Great well established dog training facility 4/28/2011

I first went to the Canine Workshop over 18 years ago. I learned so much from the wonderful trainers at that time. I recently went back with my new dog and was well received by their current trainers and staff. The open floor time is inexpensive and fun. There are no membership fees and no "know it all trainers." All are very friendly and helpful. There is no big push to spend more money and I am looking forward to their outdoor agility! more

Great Dog Training Facility 2/25/2010

My first class at the Workshop was a conformation class 10 yrs. ago when my first purebred dog was a puppy . From there I have enrolled in obedience, agility and rally classes at the Workshop and I now have titles in all of these activities thanks to the great instructors. They all are well-trained and very helpful and patient. The Workshop is a great place to train your dog and it's my home away from home. more

Great Place To Train 2/20/2010

I have taken several dogs to The Canine Workshop for obedience training over the years. The instructors are courteous and professional. What I like best about the classes is that they train ME to train my dog. They don't just do it for me. The prices are reasonable too. I have compared them to other facilities and found them much cheaper. I feel that I am getting a good value for my dollar. If you want a well trained dog, this is the place to go! Pros: They Teach You to Train Your Dog more

Well trained dogs 1/31/2010

This is one of the best training facilities in the area; they offer a big variety of classes, afternoon and eveing hours and are focused on making sure you and your dog get what you need to make both your lives enjoyable. The instructors have many years of experience in dogs and can help you solve just about any problem you might have. Classes are reasonable in size and offer a variety of training experiences from puppy kindergarten to flyball and agility. Highly recommend. more

Great Dog Training Facility 1/30/2010

The Canine Workshop offers classes in agility, obedience, conformation, rally, and even flyball. They teach you to train your dog to be a great companion and will even get you ready to compete if that is your goal. Instructors are knowledgeable and helpful. Fees for classes are very reasonable especially when compared with other training facilities. I would recommend this facility for anyone looking for a place to train their dog or get involved in dog sports as a hobby. Pros: Variety of classes, good price Cons: None more

Very disappointed in dog obedience class 3/4/2009

I was enrolled in an obedience class with 12 other dogs in a small room. The two trainers advised me different ways to do things, confusing and frustrating both me and my dog. One trainer was inflexible in accepting the different needs and personalities of the dogs and only applied her methods that were unsuccessful for some in the class and was very vocal when methods from the other trainer were used. After 4 classes, one dog still spent most of the time in the corner or storage closet and another spent time being sat on by it's owner behind an old fashioned baby gate. The trainers did nothing to acclimate these dogs to the class. Your money will be far better spent and your dog provided much better care and training at any other dog obedience school. Pros: ? Cons: large class size, small room, inconsistent trainers, inflexible trainers. more
