Candy Basket was the first in Portland to have an amazing chocolate fountain. Most people who are familar with Candy Basket think of them as a company that creates gratuity baskets for corporate folk. Many do not realize that their rich, delectable chocolates are available for purchase right here where they're made... How they're made is a story in itself. A little known fact about Candy Basket is that they made an effort to hire developmental disabled workers long before it became the popular thing to do. It's my personal long-standing policy to support employers who find creative ways to offer meaningful and necessary work to challenged employees...but I still won't purchase the product if it's not superior...and superior it is. I prefer Candy Basket Chocolate even over the more well known Jachivas! more
