The movie theatre upstairs at Canal Place, across from Harrah's Casino is, with the exception of the Prytania Theatre (sometimes), the only theatre in New Orleans offering showings of independent films as well as international imports. For those trying to catch non-mainstream movies on the big screen, Canal Place is the place to go. more

A landmark theater........... 7/14/2005

Canal Place shows independent and foreign films. Occasionally some popular movies. It is handicapped accessible from the outside of the canal place shopping center. But it's better to take the glass elevator inside the store to the second floor and go to the end of the food court and get in. It's easier and you can purchase your tickets ahead of time. The theater is roomy. more
