We received a postcard with offer for $39 exam, x-ray, and cleaning. My wife has two teeth that were needing attention immediately, so I called the office and they said they could see her for an exam and x-ray of the problem area for $109 or we could wait for the "new patient experience." The "experience" was scheduled for just two days later, so we decided to wait. At the "new patient experience" we were placed in a room with uncomfortable chairs, which had a human skull, jaw bones, and plaster casts of human mouths, and given a laptop to enter patient information, because they are "paperless." After completing that, before meeting the dentist, the "receptionist/dental assistant" came in with a stack of paper and began asking my wife more questions and writing her answers down. She asked my wife what were her treatment goals. My wife said that she just wanted to take care of these two teeth now, because we don't have insurance and not a large income. When she said this, the receptionist left the room, then came back and said that they weren't looking for patients who weren't wanting to work on their whole mouth and noted that because she didn't have insurance or nice paying job, my wife wasn't the kind of patient they were looking for. That was our cue to leave and, with that, the "new patient experience" was over.
