Use to be a nice place to eat 4/4/2009

Seafood pasta was nothing special, the clam chowder was just average. Grilled chicken was really tasty though. The worst part of the dinner was the staff, they have such an attitude, I was the one saying thank you to the cashier and waitress with no response. All seem to be cute young college age girls with such a snobby and rude manner. Only one guy that seemed to be the manager was very polite and thanked us on the way out. Food may be good, but I will never give them my business again, I'm sorry I left a tip. I won't recommend this establishment to any one. Pros: Food is good. Cons: Food is over priced. more

Camerons Seafood in Pasadena 3/6/2009

I am a transplant from the East Coast, and I am very picky about my New England Clam Chowder. Camerons would fit right in on the East Coast. The soup is amazing, and the food is fantastic. We had great service, and the best part was when the bill came, we were estatic to see how reasonable everything was. We will be going back very soon! more

Some of the best Fish in Pasadena 11/11/2008

My second visit to Camerons in the last 3 weeks. The place is great, and really clean. I read the pasadena weekly and I noticed it has won best seafood for the last 20 some odd years. Its true. Some of the best fish tacos I have ever had. Made with fresh halibut, they were delicious. My wife had the parmesan crusted sole, with some garlic mashed potatoes and rice pilaf, it was perfect. We both tried the New England Clam chowder, and let me tell ya, it was really good. I would recommend this place to anyone who really likes fresh fish and wants to see it get cooked. We had the xango dessert, and wow it was great. I figured after 24 years in business this place is doing something right. Good job Camerons ill be back. Pros: fresh fish Cons: always busy more

Clean, great food handling, delicious food 5/4/2008

Cleanliness and Food Safety is my number one way of rating a restaurant. Camreron's not only knows how to run a restaurant, but knows fresh fish, how to cook it and how to serve it. Every entree or appetizer we have ordered is not only delicious but served to perfection. Love their blackend halibut salad, their chowder is by far the best I have had. Friendly and prompt service. Pros: Fresh Fish, Great Parking Cons: We need more of them in Agoura more

If I knew how to cook, this is what i would cook. 4/28/2008

I've spent lots of time searching out the best fish tacos while down in Mexico, and have never found any better than at Camerons. Always order them with the shredded chedder and the green sauce on the side, but without the onions or cilantro. Cold beer in one hand, a taco in the other, and life is good. BTW, ask for a little dish of the ginger with it, it really cleanses the palate and prepares you for the lemon cake, (the best item on the dessert menu). Other little details I've found there:\r \r It never ever smells ""fishy"" there, \r Parking lot is really big, (unlike every other lot in the entire city of Pasadena) and it's easy to get my fullsize truck out without banging into things. \r If you are trying to eat healthy, get the Greek Salad with Cajun Salmon. Pros: Kind of like ""CHEERS"", (the place where everybody knows your name) Cons: Sure wish they delivered to my neighborhood more

Best Seafood Restaurant in Pasadena 11/1/2007

I have never had a bad meal at Cameron's Seafood & Market in Pasadena. The service is fast and friendly and the food is delicious and fresh. You know the saying you get what you pay for, at Camerons the prices are slightly high but the food is worth EVERY penny.\r \r My favorite dish is the Broiled Tiger Shrimp with Bacon and they have the Best Red Clam Chowder I have ever had. They have terrific bread, I always eat way to much bread before my meal.\r \r I highly recommend this Seafood Restaurant!\r Pros: You don't have to wait to long for a table, service is great! more

poor quality 8/15/2007

The last three excursions to this restaurant have been extremely disappointing. The seafood is over -grilled and over fried. With the fish and chips, the Halibut was dried and tasteless. The scallops and shrimp also were dried out and inedible. We used to have great experiences and enjoyed our dinners, but not any more. McGraths appears to be the best solution for consistency and quality. more

mediocur seafood 9/3/2006

This place hasnt had an update in 20 years and it looks it! O.k so you arent going for the ambiance, lets get to the food. Thier idea of salad is made with iceberg lettuce (and they charge a premium for that!) the seafood is not that great. If you want a mcdonalds experience go here, otherwise get back on the freeway, exit at baldwin and go to the arcadia mall and go to Mcgraths, you will enjoy much much more!! Pros: Its close to where I live Cons: the seafood more

Nice dining experience 6/20/2006

I've been going to Cameron's for several years now, and I keep going back because it's good food at the right price. You get what you pay for here - generous quantities of fish, extra large portions of appetizers, and great sourdough bread. It's not as fancy as some fish restaurants, but if you want a nice place to go out and have lunch (and not be concerned with a dress code, or talking too loud), this is your place. Pros: Food, Parking Cons: Service is a little slow more

Is it worth it? 5/6/2005

The food is okay but is it worth the wait, the attitude, and the rude staff? This is a one time only experience for us. more

Good Fish and Chips without flying to England. 3/23/2005

""Call me Ishmael""...or Call me hungry. That's why my wife and I had stopped off here at noon after finishing some errands for our business. I'm usually a little more cautious of seafood places, but it's one of my wife's favorite dishes. I'm glad we stopped in because we had a real nice time and attentive service, but only two or three couples were in the place midweek. I had a Fish and Chips dish which was exceptional, and she had creamy scallops and pasta. We sat and talked without feeling pressured to ""clear out."" Ambiance and decor were perfect and I liked that for a fish place...it didn't smell too fishy, especially considering it also doubles as a fresh fish market. The only thing hard about the experience was deciding what to put away in the doggie-bag for later. Captain Ahab could have had Moby filleted and grilled with a side salad had he come here first. We'll be back again someday - with respect to Mr. Melville. Pros: Great food, Great decor, Great time Cons: Average or above prices, Could get busy more

BEST SEA FOOD RESTAURANT IN PASADENA 3/8/2005

Best selection of sea food. Cooked to your specific taste. Clam chowder is their claim to fame and is a must for all. I have never been disappointed in the 15 years I have enjoyed this restaurant. Waiters are friendly and very helpfull. A must for any sea food lover who is in Pasadena more

The Clam Chowder!!! 10/17/2004

Haven't been back sinced '93, as much as I remember, their ""Clam Chowders"" were incomparable and one of the best. The bar was nice and they had free clams at the time. Pros: clam chowder more

Better than expected! 9/19/2004

After hearing that they had gone downhill in that past few years, and then hearing that now the menu has been revamped, we gave it a try. I ordered the Blackened Halibut which was cooked perfectly. The clam chowder and baked potato were some of the best that I have ever eaten (and I have eaten a lot!). Friend ordered the Scallopes wrapped in Applewood bacon - she loved it, along with the scalloped potatoes and coleslaw. Will definitely go back! Bread was delicious, but could have been sliced into thicker slabs like at other seafood places. Pros: Parking, Food more
