I graduated from the LPN program about 11 years ago. At the time I didn't realize that the school was not accredited by the same accreditation committees as colleges and universities and did not realize that credits from the school would not be accepted at other colleges. To call Cameron a college is very misleading. I was lucky enough to have a great LPN instructor. But the rest of the school was not up to par. Yes it got me to being a LPN but to go further I have to start from scratch like I have never been a nurse. They are programs that will accept the fact that I am a graduate of a LPN program but I've tried numerous times to contact the school for transcript and I keep getting the run around. ""I will have to look for it"", ""I will call you once I've located it"", ""Complete a transcript request and fax to us"" (What transcript request?), It's been over 3 months and I have not heard from anyone. I mean I guess once they've taken your money you are no concern anymore. I understand that Hurricane Katrina may have destroyed some old records but I don't believe they are even searching or concerned about searching. I believe that they give the same BS spill to anyone that is requesting information or paperwork from the school that is not a current student. No I bet they help them because they haven't finished taking their money. I see that they do not offer the LPN program anymore. That's good because it's better to get that from a genuine college where a LPN can further his or her career.
