Camelot Kennels

My parents dog has a really hard time riding in the car and doesn't like going to groomers or the vet. His nails were getting extremely long and we decided to try this kennel's grooming facility. The staff was very friendly. Our dog is very large (120#) and he can be hard to handle. We thought we should help them get him on their table, but the owner assured us that they had it under control. And they sure did. He was done quickly and we'll be making our next appointment very soon! The owner was very nice to us and our dog. The price was extremely reasonable. I took a tour of the kennel and it's a very clean / organized facility. I will be happy to give them business again in the future. more

My dog has gone to Camelot Kennels many times. I have had no problems with their grooming, boarding or with their attitudes! They have been very good to me and my dog. My dog enjoys going there and has showed no signs of fear or discontent. Pros: great attitudes, reasonable prices on boarding more

I see I am not the only one who has gotten bad service here! I also got told different prices and my dogs do not look very good! I will not ever go here again to have my dogs groomed! Cons: everything about this place- except the receptionist- she is nice more

I called Camelot kennals in lowell and got a price quote for $25 for one dog and $35 for the one that needed shaved, I called back 2 days later and made the appointment for today. I asked the lady again if those were the prices and she said yes. So I took them in for their 9:30 appt and once again told her what I needed done and asked her ""does that price include all of that?"" and she ONCE AGAIN said ""yes"" so I left. Usually I pay $20 for the first one and $35 for the other one at the other place and they have them done in about 2 hours maybe three. Well she didn't get them done until 2 p.m.!!! I pick them up and she says your total is $80!!! I said ""WHAT?!?! She told me it would be $60 for both"" so they got her on the phone and she told me that she NEVER said those prices!!!! I couldn't believe it! I told her I would have never brought them if it was going to be that high! And she says ""those prices are good you won't find anyone else that will do them that cheap!"""" So I told her what i usually pay and she got kinda snotty and said ""well I guess you should have taken them there!"" So please do not take your dogs there unless you want to get a price quote and be suprised at the ""new"" price when you get there! Not only that the first one doesn't even look like she has been brushed and the one with the hair cut looks absoulutely HORRIBLE! The receptionist told me that everyone that picks up their dogs are getting really mad because she keeps doing this to her clients! She was lucky I had that on me- if I didn't give her all of it she told me she wasn't going to let me have my dogs- and my 4 year old was standing right there!\r \r Pros: seriously there aren't any Cons: tells you one price and you get another; smelly place, dogs came back with fleas and takes a long time to do them more
