I tried Camelias for the second time yesterday. The first time was on a Friday night at dinner and it was so packed, it took us nearly 2 hours to get through dinner. We repeatedly had to ask for our waiter, for refills and for more salsa since we waited over an hour for our dinner. \r

Last night we tried it, it was Thursday evening and much less busy. The service leaves a lot to be desired. They typically seem preoccupied with more important customers, or friends, I couldn't tell. It almost feels like waiting tables is butting in to their personal time and it is bothersome to them to work. The service wasn't nearly as bad as the first time though. The food was good. The salsa and chips are amazing! The best around. The beans are also fantastic. I had a combo plate #1, ate 1/2 and brought the other half to work today for lunch. In my tamale today I found a long sliver of plastic? Like part of a plastic bag, in the meat of the tamale. I was totally grossed out and dumped the rest. \r

The restaurant really needs to get their staff some customer service training and reinforce that having a job is a privilege and they should have some pride in what they do and try to do it well. As far as the tamale, I don't know how that happened, but if you don't have good service, at least having amazing food, and it wasn't.
Pros: Salsa and Chips are amazing
Cons: Plastic in Tamale and Poor Service
