You have to be kidding me, Charde....You just embarrassed yourself. Your DUDE? Wow, he must feel loved. All Capital letters....even a first grader is taught about capitlization. So let's get this right...you write about how bad a place and people are and all you do is call them names and belittle them. Guess that doesn't make you any better then them now does it? Do yourself a favor, the next time you feel the need to speak for me (and the other people of this earth with a brain) please restrain yourself. Jail is just that......it is what it is...and you havne't been the only person in this county to have to go there. I was in the camden county jail myself. Trust me you never want to have to spend a night in that place. When I was there I had gotten a boil on my eye the medical team there was definately not sufficient. I put a slip in before it got bad and four days later my eye was completely closed. They took me to the hospital and they put me on medication it turned out I was allergic to me so the jail nursing staff took me off it like they were supposed to do but did not put me on anything else so it continued to get worse to the point I had lost the vision in the eye. Then they put me in the medical area with pregnant women to expose it to them. They had told me they thought it was MRSA which everyone knows how deadly that can be to put me in with those pregnant women was a very foolish thing to do. If you ask me someone really needs to go into that place and teach that nursing staff what really should be done in medical cases like that. I realize that they had to take me out of population but really they should have put me in isolation so I would not expose that to other women. Not only were the nursing staff in the place disrespectful but so were a lot of the correctional officers. Granted we may have done something that warranted us to be there in some cases however we do have rights. I am not sure if anyone else has ever written about their abuse before but I feel it was time that someone stepped up to the plate. Thank you for letting me put my opinion over the web. I CANT STAND HOW THEY TREATED ME, THE VISITOR, WHEN I WENT TO THE COUNTY TO SEE MY DUDE. THE COP YELLED AT ME BECAUSE I DIDNT KNOW I WASNT TO KNOCK ON THE DOOR. IVE NEVER BEEN THERE BEFORE! HE TOLD ME TO KEEP MA *** OUTSIDE FOR LONGER NOW. THEN WHEN I GOT INSIDE THE OTHER COP, WHOM WAS NICER, SAID TO ME, ""U KNOW BETTER, IM SURE YOU'VE HERE BEFORE''. THAT WAS MA FIRST. THAT IT NOT A GAY IN THE FOR ME. THE MEAN MONKEY FACE COP WAS SURE I KNEW WHAT I WAS DOIN BUT I REALLY HAD NO IDEA. THEN WHEN U HAD TO GET IN THE ELEVATOR TO GO TO MA VISIT, THE DAMN ELEVATOR CLOSES BY ITSELF AND I ALMOST DIDNT GET ON. THAT PLACE IS CRAZY. IT SEEMS MORE LIKE A NT HOUSE THAN ANYTHING. AND Y HAVE A JAIL IN THE HEART OF THE CITY ANYWAY. GRANTED IT IS EASY TO GET TO FOR A VISIT BUT, HELLO, ITS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY AND IF SOMEONE WAS TO ESCAPE THE TRAIN STATION, BUS STATION, AND BRIDGE IS RIGHT THERE. Very slow in everything. Releases take about 4 hours to process. Should take only about 1 hour. Should be charged with unnecesary roughness. And facility is Dirty, dirty, dirty! Old and very unkept. It sits in Camden which is known as a slum so the prison fits right in. Pros: Couldn't find any. Cons: No Parking. Slow service more
