Exceeded Expectations 10/1/2012

My husband and I moved into a new home a few months ago and we wanted to redo the backyard. We had used Cambridge Landscape for a few things before and had been satisfied with the service, so we gave them a call. We were put in touch with Bill, who was the manager in charge of overseeing our project. He was great! Bill was at our house at least a few times a week to make sure that everything was running smoothly and that we got exactly what we wanted. I like to be outside and I'm very picky about my yard, so it was good to have someone who was so responsive to my input. The whole thing was much less disruptive than we thought it would be, too, and the yard is now absolutely perfect! more

Great service! A few weeks ago, we had a really bad microburst in my neighborhood in Arlington and my street got hit really hard. There were trees and limbs down on houses and powerlines all over the place. I was pretty impressed at how quickly Cambridge Landscape handled cleaning everything up. They went right down the street, tossed everything into chippers, and were gone. After that, I called them to clean up my yard after the storm and it looks better than it has in years! I'll definitely be giving these guys a call in the future. more

Unprofessional 5/22/2012

Set up an appointment for an evaluation for a very large job. I was waiting for the proposal on the job and called about 10 days later to follow up as I hadn't heard anything. Chris who was supposed to be working on it refused to return emails or phone calls. I guess they didn't want the job and weren't professional enought to say so. more

Lovely Service 12/13/2010

I have used Cambridge Landscape for snow removal the past five years. I never have had problems with the service and I know I can count on them to do a great job. Not only do they plow but they also use Ice melt to make certain the area is not slippery which I am happy about becuase I am an older woman who lives alone and putting salt/sand/ or ice melt down by myself would be very difficult. more

Amendment 12/11/2010

I just happened to check back on this the other day, and, not surprisingly, someone had noticed this error. I have nothing to hide here folks, as when I found out that they had as low a rating as they did, I simply called every friend I knew who also used this service and encouraged them to provide their input. Although I can't fault you for being suspicious, as it does look the part, if anything, this just goes to prove that some out there have a abundance of time on their hands, as the rebuttal was overanalyzed. Life Saver! 11/3/2010

I had a large tree near my house whose roots were destroying my foundation. No telling how long I had before my house collapsed. Cambridge Landscaping was quick to respond when others would have taken weeks. They professional, courteous and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. They totally saved me and my house! more

Cambridge Landscape Co provides peerless landscape and tree work services with a professional attitude, and has done so for years. In our many experiences, we found the employees to be friendly and respectful, with a positive attitude towards their job and others. The company keeps their employees on staff year round for a reason, and that is to cultivate a motivated and skilled workforce. My family is completely satisfied with all of the services that they have provided us with, and we have spoken with numerous others who feel the same way. They are up front with customers, and do not try to hide any problems or attach additional costs to a project. Unlike other companies I have seen, they always strive for 100% customer satisfaction. Their sales staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Cambridge Landscape is very environmentally conscious, and has made a significant investment to take care of the environment and those who live in it. Case in point would be their Hybrid tree more

This company is excellent. My husband and I would trust no one else to take care of our trees. The employees are always friendly to everyone, and the sales staff and estimator are extremely courteous. They care about making the customer happy. They accomplish this through excellent service. more

Terrible... 1/18/2009

I used to park my car on the street in Cambridge and it would take a while to dig it out because the plows would come by and put snow along one side of it. I now have a covered parking spot off-street and it just took me 3x as long to dig out my car because the Cambridge Landscape Co plow decided to put a _huge_ pile of snow right in front of my assigned spot. I called to tell them they were blocking me in but they just kept coming by to add more snow to the pile. Then I asked them to move it and they didn't come to move it. Terrible... more

Rude employees 6/19/2008

Here's an idea: when you're driving a company truck, stop for pedestrians in crosswalks who have the walk light. Hanging out the truck window and laughing at them when they get upset isn't a great way to enhance your community presence. This is one tree service company I won't be hiring, and I'll let everyone I know who's looking for tree work in my beautiful well-to-do tree-lined Cambridge neighborhood what kind of mental midgets work for this business. It's unfortunate that this business's CEO hires these kinds of representatives to bully the residents of the city they associate themselves with. more

Didn't show up/bad service 9/18/2007

I am disappointed with their service. I had an evaluation and was told that they would call to schedule an appt for service following my signing the estimate. They never called me (5 weeks) to schedule the appt. After calling them to schedule the appt they didn't show up. I wanted to be present when the work was being done and had taken time off work. They said the crew would just show up. I asked if I could talk to the crew by phone before they did the work and they said that wasn't possible. more

Get everything in writing beforehand!!! 11/30/2005

I used Cambridge Landscape to remove a tree branch hanging in some telephone wires. The estimator came out immediately, and told me it would be a 'minimum charge'. I received a bill six weeks later for $360, about double what I thought it would be. They do quality work if you don't mind paying for it, but I felt ripped off. Pros: reliable, fast Cons: expensive, untrustworthy more
