Calypso Pool SVC

This company installed a pool for us five years ago and done a fantastic job. Steve was very knowledgeable about the process and offered suggestions which helped us decide how and what to do. We are very pleased and would recommend him to anyone. He has and is still in contact with us to make sure everything is still okay with the pool. more

i give this company 2 thumbs up. while he was installing here there was never a time when i did not know what was going on 100 %. he was alway made a point to be strait forward with everything and i was very satisfied with the results. i would deff. pass the word about this company to anybody and everybody. if everybody would work like this company then this world would be worry free. we are very satisfied. more

Tthis guy is a smoozer, charmer, and a big promiser. Absolutely do not give him a dime before all work is done. His habit is to make big promises that are not kept. And if you pay for anything not done just say goodbye to your money with no possible recourse (google his name or check court records). And most offensive of all he talks about his Chritianity - hiding behind a Christ he can not believe in based on his actions. more

If you are considering to get a new pool or a liner go somewhere else. I did not understand the rating system at The BBB site it is rated like a school report card and Calypso Pools has an ""F"" rating that means they failed. I made a contract with Steve Cunningham for a new liner, the contract was signed on April 06 2011 I gave him a deposit of half of the agreed price of the job $1,175.00 Mr Cunningham told me that the new liner would be installed around the 18th of April. I called him on the 21st to see the status of the lined and received his voice mail. I left a message and asked him to call me back. I then called on the 25th and no answer and his voice mail box was full. So I sent him a text message telling him to clean out his mail box and please call me. No call back. I called on the 28th and then sent him an Email, again the mail box was full. As of now [May 8 2011] I have sent him six Emails five text messages and I have called every day since and the mail box is always full. {Apparently this is his favorite dodging trick} One day I called in excess of twenty times, just to let him know that I was trying to contact him. I have filed complaints with the BBB and the LLR and tomorrow I will institute a Law Suite against him. Owner Steve Cunningham and his so called Calypso pools business should be avoided ALL costs. He will take your deposit money and avoid you and your calls until convenient for him. Excuse after excuse is all you will get from him when he does communicate. Still he will break his promises and avoid you some more. This ""man"" is a lawsuit waiting to happen for someone. Save yourself time, money and from hear get better quality from his competition. I am personally looking for him now to get my deposit back due to his lack of character and lack of actually doing anything he had been paid to do. So let him know if you read this before he does. more

3 months and 23K later I have a torn up yard and a concrete bowl to show for Steve Cunningham's efforts. Calypso Pools owner Steve Cunningham gave us a great price on a gunite pool and spa but failed to deliver and follow through after 3 months of being lied to and misled. I have had to contact other contractors to finish the pool and they say he has doen this around the CSRA, Lexington and Batesburg areas to name a few. Evidently he gets in skims the profit and leaves us hanging. He is a criminal and I could not feel more violated if he put a gun to my head and took our money. Steve these are people's life savings and dreams you are pilfering. And you claim to be a Christian....... more

We had Calypso Pools put our pool in and had a great experience. When the owner told us he would be finished by a date we detetmined, we didnt expect it to happen but it did and early. The quality is one thing I was looking for and I feel that we got the best pool we could have. Our kids love the tanning ledge and now we do have our dream pool at home. We love this company!!
