take the toddlers 9/23/2005

I have 2 toddlers and we love going here. The cost is less than half of what it costs to get into Rapids Waterpark and it's just as fun for our family since our kids are so young. The lazy river is a favorite and the waterslides on the playpark is just the right size for them. I also like that they have a snack bar and a lot of shady covering with chairs, table and chaises. It's a great, fun day for the whole family. more

FUN! 8/19/2005

Forget going driving up to Disney, this is a great waterpark right in our own backyard. Of course, it's not as big as Disney and doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but if you're only taking toddlers, then you won't miss a thing. Calypso Bay has a lap pool, a water playground park, a lazy river and a big twisting tube waterslide. Thye also have a snack bar and ample loungers and chairs under huge umbrellas. This is something fun to do if you have smaller kids and don't want to spend $28/person at Rapids. You'll ge tthe same amount of fun, for more than half the price. more

Great smaller water park 8/10/2005

This is a nice water park--especially if you have toddlers. They offer a playground-type structure that is surrounded by water and has interactive spouts and showers as well as smaller water slides. There is a bigger waterslide for the "big kids" and a lazy river and a lap pool. They also have a snack bar and lots of shaded picnic tables. This is not a huge waterpark but it is perfect for the kids not yet ready to go to the Rapids Water Park and at half the cost. more

Fun for the little ones 8/8/2005

This is a great water park for little tykes. During the summer, they were running a special for families on Fridays. They closed part of the park down (they have a lap pool and a lazy river), and focused on this playground-type thing that stands in the middle of a wading-pool type area. The kids love it! It shoots water, sprinkles water down like a shower, has tubes to crawl through, slides to go down, and if your kid is not into that, you can sit down and let the kid just hang around splashing in the water. They have a snack bar for lunch for the older kid crowd, but I think you can bring in light snacks for your toddlers. Plenty of seating under umbrellas, but don't forget the sunscreen for the kids! more
