I trusted two pairs of boots to this business and both came back WORSE than when I dropped them off. One pair needed to be stretched a LITTLE in the top of the foot area. He (one guy owns & operates the place) stretched them WAY too much and now the leather is really stretched out and it created a huge bulge on the inside of the ankle area that looks really stupid and obvious. I will not wear those boots anymore because of it. The other pair of boots was brand new, but I broke the heel when I tripped on some steps the first time I wore them. They were one of my only designer items and were my favorite pair of shoes and at $300 were also my most expensive pair of shoes I owned. They were beautiful and I looked forward to having them many years. Then I took them to Cal's. He tried to fix the boot by glueing the heel back on then by slamming a huge screw/nail through the heel. Well he didn't measure and so of course the screw/nail went right through the leather and now sticks out through the heel, clearly visible on the OUTSIDE of the boot. Additionally, the glue didn't work so the heel's still loose and sill very broken. Thanks to this uncaring business owner (he does his own work), I now have one really ugly pair of boots and not only do I still have a pair of broken boots, but now I have to find someone skilled enough to fix his screw-up. I don't care if this guy is the only shoe repair guy in the area, I will never take anything there again. Also, owner was rude and had a very uncaring attitude. They also do not call you when the job is ""done"". You have to wait and hope and guess when it'll be finished. I would never run a business this way.
Pros: None - this is the only boot/shoe repair place in the area.
Cons: POOR SERVICE, VERY POOR REPAIR WORK
