If Callahan's doesn't have it, you don't need it. 11/23/2009

This place has absolutely everything. I love the appliances from the 50s (although they're brand new!) from back before stainless steel, granite countered cathedrals. If you want a saddle, an oven, a hammer and a small tractor and you want it all in one trip, there's nowhere else to go. It's right near the airport. If you have some time on your way in or out of town, treat yourself to a visit. It's a mindblower. more

Callahan's General Store is an Austin icon; it's been around for years. I love looking around at this store because even though it's geared toward farmers, you never know what type of interesting item you might find. more
