While it may get lost among all the restaurant options in Gallery Place/Chinatown, California Tortilla offers quick, cheap, satisfying fare. There are plenty of options for every kind of eater. I recommend the salads, as they are tasty and big enough for a meal. Service was fast, even during a busy lunchtime. Most of all, I'd go just for the napkins. more

i love california tortillas burritos. they ave the best burritos in the world. they have all kinds of flavors and many promotions to get you to caome. it is a very popular place. this place is kinda fast food but it has sit down areas and many people consider this a "real" mexican place not just fast food because of the great food. more

I was never a burrito person, but California Tortilla changed my tune. They have the best burritos in flavors you wouldn't normally associate with tex-mex, like Thai Peanut. The chips and cheese are also yummy. The service is great and the workers are always very friendly. There's a newsletter frm the owners each month that's pretty funny, and they'll do quirky promotions like Free Pop Tart Day. I'ts a fun place to have a casual lunch or dinner. The locaton is also good. It's a great place for a quick dinner before a movie at the new Regal cinema in Chinatown or an event at the MCI center- it's right across the street from both. There's a movie deal where you get a burrito and movie tickets for about $12- considering that tickets cost $9 each at night, this is great deal! more
