California Pizza Kitchen

Ok so I don't normally write these reviews but I had a particularly awful experience at this location. I stopped by with my boyfriend to take a quick lunch break last week. The restaurant wasn't busy and there were still plenty of empty tables. We hadn't even opened our menus yet when the waiter stopped by and asked if we had decided what we wanted to order. We said no and he proceeded to come back 3 additional times within less than 5 minutes to ask again. When we gave him our order the last time he said, and I quote, ""finally, I was worried"" in a rude tone of voice. Our food came and the order was wrong. When we addressed the problem the waiter acted like we were a burden and then half apologized as he was walking away from the table. We could not wait the estimated 20 minutes for our new pizza so we left for a quick lunch at chickfila instead. I usually love CPK but I will never be going back to this location. more

This outpost of CPK at Lenox Square is still the best in this upscale Pizza chain. And it's so much more than just those little tasty individual pies. The menu is constantly changing, with new items. Those tasty Shrimp-Basil rolls are a great place to start. Now they have added very nice dinner entrees, and we love the Chicken Piccata, w/pasta, and those tasty capers. Usually we just sit at the bar, have a cocktail, Mango Mojito's are tasty, eat, and have a long catch-up conversation with Brian, bartender/server, who has been there fifteen years. And yes the original BBQ Chicken pizza is still on the menu. The open dining room/kitchen, is still the best people watching spot at Lenox Square. Pros: Contemporary Pizza Menu, People Watching! This place is great! I love the salads and my children love the mac and cheese! Great food! Great service! Love going to this place. Yummy!! Cons: Crowded but worth the wait more

The crust is incredible and a little sweet...ask for wheat if you want to throw in a healthy twist. You can be safe ordering anything on the menu...if it sounds good, it is good. My personal favorite is the Tostada Pizza topped with black beans, cheese, fresh cilantro, tomatoes, and lettuce. The Barbecue Chicken is an all around favorite. Even just the traditional pepperoni pizza is awesome! Pros: Bread and butter keeps you busy while you wait for the main course. Cons: The only drawback is when it's busy...just be patient, it's worth it. more
