California Living Museum-Calm

November 24th kicks off that time of the year again, when CALM presents it's "HolidayLights" and runs until December 30th! This is an amazing show of more than two million lights in dazzling night time displays. Beautiful to see, for the young and the old. Admission Prices: $5 for children ages 3-17, $7 for seniors above age 60 and $10 for adults. Free parking and Train Rides . California Living Museum (CALM) is having their annual Trick or Treat event on October 28th starting at 10 am until 4 pm. Not only can your kids enjoy looking at the animals and playing on the small playground, but CALM will be having games, crafts and treats. Kids under 3 are FREE and kids 3-17 can get $1.00 off admission if they are in a costume. I have to be honest, If you've already been to CALM, it's more fun to go during these kinds of events because CALM is usually always the same, which is fine but it's a small place and even when years have passed, I still feel like I had been there yesterday because it hasn't changed much. I RECENTLY WENT TO THE C.A.L.M. ICE CREAM SOCIAL. FOR THE MOST PART, IT'S A LOVELY MUSEUM. WHAT CONCERNED ME WAS WHEN IT STARTS TO GET DARK, THERE ARE NO LIGHTS ALONG THE PATHWAYS. AS IT GOT DARKER, I GOT SCARED THAT ONE OF THE ANIMALS WOULD GET OUT OF THEIR CAGE AND I WOULDN'T EVEN SEE THEM! DO NOT GO THERE AT NIGHT -- YOU CAN'T SEE A DARN THING! THE ICE CREAM SOCIAL WAS NOT PLANNED VERY WELL, EITHER. AT THE END THERE WAS A DRAWING THAT MANY PEOPLE WAITED AROUND FOR. WHEN THEY FINALLY CALLED OUT THE WINNERS, MOST OF THE PEOPLE HAD LEFT BECAUSE IT TOOK SO LONG FOR THEM TO FIGURE OUT WHERE TO HAVE THE DRAWING! THE STAFF WAS NOT VERY FRIENDLY, EITHER. more
