Calico Corners

A friend of mine told me I should check out Calico Corners when I told her I really needed to reupholster a sofa and chair in my den. I went to the Memorial location off of I10 and Echo Lane. When I walked in I immediately felt overwhelmed. I sales woman greeted me and asked if she could help. I told her that I wanted to get an idea of what it would cost to recover my furniture. She asked a lot of questions to determine my lifestyle, colors, and needs. We walked around the store and she showed me several fabrics that I liked. She told me I could take the fabric samples home to see if they would work. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. I took the samples home and my husband and I decided on one. We just got our furniture back today and we could not be more pleased. I don't think I could have done this without her help! more

I made the mistake of arriving at 5:10, and the store apparently was closing at 5:30. The woman ""helping"" me just walked off in the middle of our conversation and my trying to figure out the size, quantity, etc. of drapery rods. The sale would total $300+, so it wasn't a $1.99 tube of toothpaste. I suggest maybe looking elsewhere. The store is small, the help indifferent. more
