Caledonia State Park, not far from Gettysburg, is located in the northern blue ridge mountains, and therefore there are a number of hiking trails and wooded areas. The camping areas are nice and many are somewhat set apart from the others. There were supposed to be some environmental programs while we went in the summer, but none were listed at the education center when we checked. It might have been the one weekend, but that was a disappointment. Otherwise, there are family oriented activities and it is a nice spot for a weekend trip.
