This pest company was chosen by the seller of the house I bought, otherwise I would NEVER have had contact with them. The termite bait system they placed around my new house NEVER was checked by them for activity!!! The bait rotted due to moisture and improper placement - most all of the bait stations stick out of the ground from 1 - 4 inches. I don't know who, or if, they were trained; I doubt the technician(s) is licensed in Alabama. When the 1 year ran out, they contacted me to make an appointment which cause me to miss a complete day of work for them to be no shows! Then the office manager had the nerve to send me a letter they would pull up the bait stations they had ignored for a year. I'm not sure if they are insured, but if they are, whoever insures their termite bond should know they don't meet minimum requirements. I called after getting the letter, only to get their answering machine - don't bother leaving a message, they don't call back. I had to call again, but when I tried to set up an appointment with a technician (yes, to give them a chance and meet the tech), the office manager had the audacity to hang up on me!!!! Wow, I could have saved the cell phone minutes and gone to wally-world for that kind of treatment. \r
I wonder if Roy Smith knows how inept his technicians and office staff are - I doubt it because when I asked to speak to him I was told he didn't bother himself with the calls, then got hung up on.\r
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - IF YOU BOUGHT A HOUSE WITH THEM ON A TERMITE BOND, SWITCH TO A LICENSED COMPANY THAT WILL STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK AND ACTUALLY CHECK TRAPS. REPORT ISSUES WITH THEM TO THE AL Dept of Ag and ADEM.
Pros: the previous homeowner paid for the termite bait treatment
Cons: they did NOTHING, didn't check bait stations, wouldn't come out to the house to work!!!
