Upscale crowd 40+, Friday&Saturday best for dancing 6/18/2010

Caffe Roma in Beverly Hills is very upscale nice Italian restaurant. Friday and Saturday after 10pm it become a night club. Workers moved the tables to the wall and there plenty space for dancers. Music is very good, DJ play everything and it wiil make you go dancing. Age of people there mostly 40+, mostly Europeans, they dress up nice, dressy, elegant. A lot beautyful ladies, but not enough the gentlemans (rate 5:1). So Gentlemans, come over, you will meet many beautyful ladies there. Pros: Nice music and people more

exquisite food, great atmosphere, excellent service 5/9/2008

The food, service, ambiance were all excellent. The selection of meals, wines and deserts as well as its prime location makes it for a perfect date place. The location in the Rodeo Drive district makes for an incredible view, especially from where I was sitting. It can be a very romantic place, but it can also be a place for a large party or with kids Pros: location very central, excellent food, ambiance, service, with great company-it is a great experience more

EMPTY. TERRIBLE SERVICE. DO NOT GO!! 4/8/2008

After sipping our less than impressive drinks, a patron at the table next to us started smoking while INDOORS. We requested 3 times that the manager ask the patron to stop smoking. Instead, Caffe Roma opened a window. Not only were we cold, but still sitting in cigar smoke. The patron continued to smoke and the manager denied smelling any smoke. We left the restaurant, but not before requesting that our 2 drinks be covered. Caffe Roma refused, still claiming that he did not smell smoke. Apparently, the restaurant was more interested in satisfying the smoking patron and his large party than in providing a breathable environment for all (or following the law). Pros: ?? Cons: Very poor service. Almost empty. more

New ownership and great Italian food!! 2/11/2008

Pros: The food was amazing. Cons: The ladies restroom is violet & the pizza area. more

Superb food wonderful chef and great service 2/11/2008

This place is now owned by the itaian restuarant biz guru Ago who used to own Toscanna in Brentwood and his chef and part owner is also the previous chef from Toscanna. Piero is an excellend chef and the food at Cafe Roma reflects this. I LOVE the thin crust pizza. You have to try it. Very nice patio area, good wine selection, very reasonable prices and very polite and nice staff. Kid and family friendly, good for big groups and for people watching. They have a DJ on the weekends who plays great music with an area for dancing. I love this place and go often with my girlfriends and with my family for dinner or drinks. Kudos to Ago and Piero ! Highly recommended. Pros: Great food/cancing on weekends/kid friendly more

Wonderful Italian dining experience~ 1/2/2008

I highly recommend Caffe Roma to anyone who loves Italian food! The ambiance and friendliness is beyond wonderful and the food is exceptional. Two Italians seemed to be everywhere at once seeing to our service, nicely dressed and ready to serve. My party ate outside in the patio area and were delighted to find Gov. Arnold among the happy quests. We were able to meet the chef, Pierro T and thank him for the wonderful food and dining experience. So friendly and nice and definetly the handsome Italian! MM MM MMMMMMMMM delicioso!! The next time we come I'm going inside for live entertainment and drinks. BIG THUMBS UP!! Pros: Large outdoor patio dining as well as indoor tables, entertainment and bar..ex. service and food Cons: ZIP, Zero, everything was perfect more

WHY IS IT EMPTY?? 10/25/2007

i find this restaurant precious because the outside seatting...inside though, some walls are bare and there are blemishes on the ceiling and some walls..? Pros: location Cons: no costumers more

hmmmm 8/19/2006

i recently went to caffe roma and i am EXTREMELY impressed. the environment alone keeps me coming back!! it is a fun place to go get some dinner with reasonable prices. this family owned restaurant must be very dedicated. i LOVE it and HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE. Pros: EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING more

Great Local Spot 12/26/2005

This place is hidden from view on Canon Drive, but there were surprisingly a lot of people when my boss and I came in for a late lunch. My boss was telling me how Arnold Schwarzennager always ate here, and coincidently he was there with Maria Shriver! We sat next to their table outside on the patio. I ordered the Tortellini, and it was pretty good. I really liked the creamy sauce. The bread they serve is also great. The pasta dishes range from $11-$18 so this restaurant is not too expensive compared to the others in Rodeo. The owner always came by to talk to us. He had a heavy Italian accent so I am guessing that this is a family-owned, authentic Italian restaurant. Pros: Good Proportions, Ambience, Price more

HORRIBLE! DO NOT GO! 8/11/2005

The drinks were horrible. We had to send them back and order something different. The steak was totally raw! Had to send that back too. The bartender, waiters, manager & piano player all had attitudes and talked about us while we ate. Everything was horrendous! very unfortunate since we had such high hopes for this place and wanted to go for so long. It ruined the entire evening. BAD VIBES~ when a place iss always empty for dinner, there is a reason!!! DO NOT GO~~~~ Cons: FOOD, STAFF, DRINKS more

Great ambience,so so food.. 9/2/2004

The food here is ok,sometimes better than others...the pizza and the calzone are fairly good, but you can take your chance with the pasta...The ambience is interesting, surreal...where Italy meets Beverly Hills...but Thursday nights are fun with Max singing and playing the piano..you can dance here a little bit of everything..dance music, salsa, italian songs etc..I often go there with a group of friends and we have a good time, dancing and singing along... Pros: Piano bar on Th.night, Ambience, Kitchen closes at 2am Cons: , Crowd?? more

Ode to Big Hair and Tiny Dogs 7/17/2002

Can't say the food at this old-school Italian eatery is off the charts, but the atmosphere and the crowd are absolutely beyond measure. Located smack dab in the middle of Beverly Hills, Roma pulls in characters that belong in a dream world where only the super rich are allowed. Old ladies with massive hair, see-through blouses, gigantic glasses and tiny dogs. Macho, gray haired Italian guys with big bellies, gold chains and sun glasses. You'll see these folks here by the dozen. In some ways it's a stereotypical scene, but it really transcends stereotyping because it's so intense and so real. Pros: The Crowd, The Location Cons: Ice Berg Lettuce more
