Our favorite local restaurant! Get the swordfish. 3/10/2009

Despite having been here several times, we are guilty of ordering the same thing on every occasion...the specialty swordfish sampler. It is soooooooo good. Make sure you take a friend to split it with though as it's an extremely generous portion. They have really reasonable prices on bottles of wine too. It's a family owned and run restaurant and the service is very good and friendly but the host/owner isn't taking any stick from anyone which made us smile. it can get a little warm during the summer months, but the over all ambiance is very authentic and definitely worth a visit. Pros: Amazing swordfish, friendly service, unique atmosphere Cons: can get a little warm on hot days more

Exotic Food 10/21/2007

Our group of 10 last night had a wonderful time. The Service and Food were fantastic!\r Menu: Clam & Scallop Chowder, Seared Ahi, Pu Pu Platter (stickers, Calamari), Fresh Local Lobster, Swordfish(amazing), Lamb , Cowboy Steak, 4 different desserts. Everything was perfect. The most important thing is to share dishes because quantities are large. Pros: Interesting Food Cons: Parking is Limited more

Dispicable Hospitality! 7/21/2007

Wow! I was put off and shocked by the lack of hospitality this place has. When we were seated, the waitress came by very quickly, rapped her fingers on her menu in an impatient manner. When we ordered a bottle of wine, she smirked. When one of our group of 4 ordered a dinner salad to have before his meal, she rolled her eyes and sighed. He asked her what the look was for and she said ""I don't think you'll have enough time for this and an entree. I need this table cleared by 8PM."" I have never seen a waitress so poorly treat a guest... It felt like we were more like intruders than we were guests. When the clock struck 8PM, there were two other tables available to seat 4 people. Her rude effort to get us out of there was all for not. Also, a waiter refilling our wine glasses spilled the wine on one of the plates on the table and wiped the plate with a wet towel that he had hanging off the back of his apron when he could've replaced the plate with a new, clean one. There's no sense of hygiene in using a dirty rag. This is how a table that spent $230 was treated... I would advise that one spends their money more wisely than we did... I will never refer or return this place again. Cons: Service, Hygiene more

A Great Place For Friends 3/2/2007

What a great find. The small quirky cafe may have dishes that look simple but the flavors are complex and perfectly cooked. The portion are huge and so delicious that I tried to finish every bite. The wine list had some nice wines but could use a little more variety, seeming it is so small. Resos are propbably a good idea. Pros: open kitchen, casual Cons: small wine list more
