Classy joint 12/3/2009

Cafe Rio is a little pricy, but is totally worth it! Great atmosphere! The seafood is what they are known for (oysters are great if that is your thing) and they make great cocktails. They also serve amazing sourdough bread. The patio is a great place kick back in the summer. more

    Welcome to The Original Cafe Rio

    Cafe Rio,on the beach in Rio Del Mar,California,earned its fine reputation with exceptionally fresh seafood and great service.  Established in 1979,the original Cafe Rio has a long tradition as a local favorite where many memorable dinners have been served and numerous salutations have been made.   Owner Jeanne Harrison,who managed the Cafe Rio for 20+ years,purchased the Cafe Rio in 2011.  She brought back the original menu,added some delicious new menu choices and reestablished the emphasis on attentive service that made this restaurant so successful.  With this being said,we hope you enjoy your experience and thank you   for coming!
