Walk though the deli (but don't ignore it!) to the restaurant in back. Lots of authentic German recipes well prepared. It ain't fancy - but it is tasty. The deli itself stocks a large variety of packaged German foods - spaetzle and potato pancake mixes, preserves, mustards, cookies and candies among other things. The deli up front has knishes and turnovers to go, as well as fresh-made sanwiches and soups. There's a small bakery section with Sacher and Linzer tortes among other European and American sweets.
