We stopped in the other evening for desserts to go and were pleasantly greeted with service that I would expect in a neighborhood place. The guys were nice. If you are tired of pretentious waiters that treat you like you should be working for the tip, stop in Cafe De Luca. The desserts were excellent as well! more

What a delight 10/18/2005

My first outing to Caffe de Luca was perfect. Discovered the place for a French language group and was quite impressed with the quality of my food and the service. Even with a large group of about 15 of us, the staff was friendly and attentive. Pros: good food, good service, fun decor more

Nice 'hipster' place in Bucktown/Wicker Park area 5/31/2005

We stumbled upon this place while shopping on Damon Ave. Stopped in between lunch and dinner and had some good fruit smoothies during a lull in the action. Other patrons included moms and dads with their kids in strollers, a young couple studying for entrance exam tests, a man drinking coffee and reading the paper, etc. Varied crowd, looked like a fairly large menu. I would go back again for a real meal. Looked like the largest restaurant on Damon where most of the shops are located. Took a nice walk through the residential area to the east of Damon after our smoothies. Pros: Atmosphere, Inexpensive, Convenient to CTA more

I've Always Loved Caffe De Luca 4/30/2004

I've been a regular at Caffe De Luca since it first opened. In the beginning it was a nice neighborhood cafe and it's still a nice neighborhood cafe even though Bucktown has grown over the years. The service is wonderful and the food is pretty good too. Whether I'm stopping in before work for a cup of coffee or hanging out with friends, I always feel welcome. I am definately a Caffe De Luca fan! Pros: Good Food, Parking, Great Service more
