I've eaten here many times. Never a disappointment. The food is SUPERB. The service is great. The prices are incredibly reasonable. The choices on the menu, too. And the desserts!...

I mean we know if we go to Flemings it will be pricey. This place has an advantage with live music. I hope Flemings get music because for the high price and you are not even amoun...

For V-day and NYE they up the prices and squeeze you in. Hello I dont' want to be forced to sit so close to strangers. Even in emails to the owner he is not that customer service friendly I guess he feels he doesn't have to. But, in this recession you still do. Pros: Local Cons: Small dining area and pricey more

Nowhere better in LA 4/21/2006

It does get a bit loud on the live-music nights, but there is seating outdoors, too. Pros: great atmosphere, Fantastic food, great prices more

Great Free Live Jazz & R&B 12/16/2005

Cafe Cordiale has to be the best live music spot in what most people call The Valley, but what I like to call, ""The Ventura Corridor."" Great social scene mixed with regulars at the bar. A Refreshing Classy Casual Place 5/20/2005

We just moved to the valley and were looking for a local place to ""hang our hat."" This place is everything the other reviews said it was, nice atmosphere but not pretentious, great food, great service - and yes the owner does walk around and seat you/shakes your hand. We went early (baby at home, babysitter = $$) so we were with the ""twilight"" crowd but upon exiting around 8:30pm a younger more diverse crowd were entering. We will definately be going back to this place. Great wine selections and priced nicely. You can also eat/drink at the bar. Very convenient and comfortable with good food! It's perfect for families (if you go early) and perfect for a night life as well, later in the evening. Pros: Affordable, Great Food, Free Parking more

great place to have a first date... 4/10/2005

I love the ambiance as well as their food. It is a very classy restaurant, so it's more of a place where u can take a date or a loved one. Although it can be a little crowded in dinner time when the live band plays, probably due to word of mouth of how incredible this place is, so i would recommend making reservations ahead of time. Best Overall in the Valley 5/19/2003

Sometimes you want to keep gems like this to yourself---if too many people learn about it, it might become harder to get reservations. The owner/head chef is very creative: He knows his way around steak, seafood and pasta. Co-owner Peter (who makes his regulars feel like family), will probably seat you, unless Mary (the Mom), always smiling and resplendent, gets you first. And Billy, the host, will always take care of you, now matter how busy. The food is exceptional for the price. Proper sized servings, perfect sides, and they'll try to tailor things the way you want. The ambience is a perfect blend of style and function (wait 'til you see how they create the ""stage"" for the live music). The evening music is always exceptional (did I mention there's no cover charge?). In the 15-or-so years that I've been going here, I've yet to be disappointed. more

I love it! The food is sooooo good, service is real cool and if you go Wed-Sat, they have jammin' live music. You get all...but bring some cash. Pros: Good Food, Music on Weekends, Good for date & group Cons: Can get crowded more

A true gem in the Valley! 6/3/2002

The music and ambiance is among the best anywhere. Finally a place that's classy but not pretentious. The soul and R&B bands that play here are consistently great, usually made up of top tier studio musicians. The food isn't the best you'll have on the blvd but you can definitely get a respectable dish here. Or just go for the lively bar scene. Pros: friendly, live entertainment, good food more
