Cafe Continental

I'm not really qualified to write a full review of this cafe, having only been there for Sunday brunch. If you do happen to be there Sunday morning (I believe they have brunch on Saturday as well, actually), scope out the ridiculous variety of french toast options on the menu. I don't take my breakfast food lightly, so this whole new world of french toast was thoroughly mind-boggling for me. I recommend the caramel apple, which isn't overly sweet, as one might think it would be. Second choice would be bananas foster. more

This is a very nice restaurant with great variety and superb food. The wait staff was very, very nice. We ordered a pizza as an appetizer ($10 to $12) and they are huge and so delicious (having no idea of the size, we had to box half of it to save room for our entrees). I ordered a pasta dish and my husband ordered a sandwich, and besides being phenomenal in taste, the portions were huge so we had lunch for the next day. The only disappointment was the grilled calamari appetizer - it was simply grilled with no marinade, making it very bland. But that was probably just our taste, because everything else was very delicious. I'd like to go back and order two or three of the pizzas to share...eclectic toppings and all of the highest quality. Good choice of beer; however, on the pricey side ($5 a tap). Two appetizers, two dinners, three beers and tip came to $75. more
